5th in the SEC, not win the SEC Tournament, barely be awarded a Regional as the #13 seed, back into a Super Regional and then get swept in it by a team which was one of the last teams selected
With Josh Smith, #1 recruiting class, all-time hits leader on the team, and surprising returning upperclassmen.

Do you get to add that we lost half of our starting pitching due to injury, that Hess would end the year in a relief role and that Not one person could play the catcher position? If I knew that going into the season the season would be about what you would or should expect.
I generally don’t runnaround screeching about results that are predictable.
If we had Storz Marceaux and Hill starting and being ineffective in SEC play I would be alarmed.

How did we back into a Super Regional? We had one of the toughest regional draws didn’t lose a game.
I believe he meant LSU wasn't going to host until Georgia shite the bed and lost. Without that happening LSU was going to travel for the Super Regional.

That's a nice and realistic summary - no spin.
Paul has done good things in the past, but I am left thinking how much was the success based on the raw amazing talent we had.
We have been in some pickles in the past that we shouldn't have been - but got out of it.
Players have to play when given the opportunity, but coaches have to put those players in good position to succeed.
Paul seems to have slowly fallen asleep over the years, its just more apparent now.

I blame PM for two things:
1. No lefty on staff is just dumb
2. Missing on his catcher assessment sooooo bad
He needs to correct them both immediately.

You also forgot to say that the pitching staff would take a huge hit with all of the injuries this season. The injuries absolutely killed this team. Y’all are acting as if this team was completely healthy and everyone was availabe all year long

Rob, you really are the worst. No argument from me that this season was underwhelming, but all you did was bitch and moan while we played poorly, only to go into hiding when we were playing well, and now you come right back loud and proud once we lose. It’s pathetic

This team was lucky to get to a super

Making it to Super Regionals is supposed to be disappointing?
Expectations dictate whether or not the results are good enough.
Paul himself said this team should contend for a national title. Now after getting swept at home our seasons over and we lose Watson, Smith, Duplantis, Hess, Reid and Broussard.
So realistically we’re probably gonna miss on Omaha again next year unless LSU magically finds a way to keep their pitchers healthy.
2019 LSU will go down as the most disappointing LSU baseball team in my lifetime

No. As I clearly stated we backed into a Super Regional. Which LSU did.

Backed into hosting* a super regional. I'm pretty sure that is what you meant though.

Because we only got the Super because UGA lost. If UGA had won then the Super was at UGA. LSU was NOT a top 8 seed therefore it takes a loss by a top 8 seed to allow LSU to host a Super Regional. That's why.

Then, we backed into hosting a super, not playing in one. Big difference.
Posted on 6/10/19 at 10:45 am to rob62
We’ll get them in the next game...oh, wait.

super regional games don't matter...season's still early... tigers will turn this around
