That was the first year I started watching LSU football. I was a saints fan since the beginning of their 2009 season and I got to watch them win the super bowl. I was 15. Starting with the Oregon rout I watched every single game up to that point, seen LSU wow me every weekend with their absolute dominance. How everything hyped up the regular season win vs Alabama, #1 vs #2. The Eric Reid contested int to save the game and send us to overtime. The blowout win over #3 Arkansas... and then Oklahoma state lost... and then the build up for the second game of the century....... I was terrified... we barely scraped by the first game, we were outplayed in every aspect of that game. The grace of God let Alabamas kicker miss those field goals... we won the first game, but to be perfectly honest I had practically no hope in the rematch... and then it happened 1/9/12, our defense was incredible, but theirs was better. We had no chance, we couldnt move the ball, we couldnt run or throw. 92 yards... and 5 first downs...
That was not a game any LSU fan should ever watch again. If you haven't seen it, don't its litteraly heartbreaking to watch. Les Miles offensive ineptitude lost us a national championship. That 2011 tiger team is one of the most dominant football teams in cfb history... and yet they still lost...

The only play I can remember from the whole game is Jefferson tossing the ball towards the direction of ware but right to an Alabama defender.

I haven’t and I really don’t understand why anyone would.
Hell I don’t understand how grown people can go rewatch games that LSU won.

I didn't even watch Sportscenter afterwards

I remember two things from that day.
Jefferson’s shuttle pass to a defender and J Lee standing on the sideline with his helmet on for 4 hours.

Honestly I don't even think about until I see a thread on here. Then I think about for less then a minute and move on.

I walked out of the bar I was watching it at in New Orleans right as Richardson (I think?) ran into the endzone with a couple minutes left in the 4th quarter.
Have never watched a single second of that game ever again. Haven't even really ever seen footage of Bama celebrating at all, luckily.
I've pretty much scrubbed it from my mind at this point.

I was there also and have not rewatched and never will. I never watch any losses a second time....

I remember that beautifully...

Never have and don't ever intend to watch that travesty again!

I don’t really rewatch any game. Yeah once the game is over why see it again? I get seeing key plays but not a whole game.

Don’t even remember why we didn’t score but I’ll never watch that again.
They should’ve never been there.

I have not rewatched it and I won't.
Matter of fact, I wish that I could go back in time and unwatch it the first time.

I haven't poured acid in my eyes either and rewatching THAT GAME would be more painful!
NegaTigers probably watch it every day

I can rewatch a loss but there's nothing redeeming or exciting about that game. I'm glad I went to the championship game in 07 and didn't waste money on that game.

quote:Jefferson needed to be on the bench with his helmet off and impounded. J Lee or Mett were both available. CLM proved his stubborn, clueless coaching blockheaded-ness by trying to force Jefferson to do something he was incapable of doing - beating Bama. By 3rd Quarter, it was clear LSU needed to do something to change the equation. Everybody but CLM seemed to see it. We had the team, but not the coach that night.
