I hope he never wins another game anywhere, ever.

Don't hate him personally, and don't find it that unusual that he lied about taking a pro job. Didn't like it, but not surprised.

But taking a job at a rival school in the same conference feels a LOT like betrayal. Now, if he were losing all the time, I'd probably have no hard feelings...!

Me.

Not that he left us, but that he returned after lying to the Dolpin organization and, of all places, went to Bama.

I respect the heck out of him as a coach...He's the best in the country and I'd trade Miles for him. But he's a friggin douche.

"Hate" is hyperbole. Anyone who actually hates another human being, for something much less serious than rape or murder, has things out of perspective.

He's not hard to hate. I had numerous opportunities to be in his company when he was here. He's a very abrupt ,unemotional ,matter of fact person. That being said he is to be given much credit for people on this site for giving a shite about the program again. He is a top notch hall of fame coach and a very average person. I appreciate him for his service and will forever have a hard time forgiving him for coming back into the division to our hated rival. But he couldn't give a shite what anyone's thinks so we should all oblige him and do the same.

I know quite a few here wanted him fired when he was at LSU after a few Ole Miss games.

why....cause he bailed for the bucks? we had him, we didn't do enough to keep him and his return to college football at bama was unforseen and impossible to predict.

you want to talk hate? let's begin the conversation with alafrickingbama.

get rested, get better, get ready...get even.

He is a great COLLEGE coach. I thank him for what he did at LSU although every year we waited with baited breath after the season if this was the year he would leave for the NFL. I don't like his demeanor and arrogance. I don't like the fact he chose Alabama for his return to College Football. And I really Love the fact the he was a complete and utter failure in the NFL. He can be cocky all he wants but at least someone could come back at him on that. NFL = Saban = FAILURE!!!

Agreed. although i understand.

I hate the fact he ended up at Alabama after testing those NFL waters.

this goes without saying. i'd hate anyone with success in the SEC.

But, I've never hated him for taking that job or the subsequent 'competition' its brought to LSU football.

once again, bama and their fans are easy to hate so the head of the snake is easy to hate.

i don't think the guy's a cocksucker or anything. i think he's one of if not the best coach in coll fb history.

i do hate that his success at bama has coincided with a truly unprecedented era in LSU football which has therefore been minimized by our miserable fanbase.

Don't hate Saban , he tried the pros and it didnt work out to his liking and Bama was the best thing available to him. Im sure if he had a crystal ball he would have never left LSU in the first place because he could have done here what hes doing in Alabama. Its not like he left LSU to go coach over at BAMA he went pro and it didnt work out.

I like the way he coaches his players and gets and demands their respect and they play like it.

Look, here's what's real:

He did the best thing for him.

He left to make a lot more $$$ (which you would have done b/c it was twice as much), to compete vs his friend Bill, and not have to worry about all of the stupid NCAA rules he had to tip toe around all day.

He learned that trying to yell at salty, rich veterans and having no QB will get him nowhere in the NFL.

If the LSU job and the Bama job would have been open, he would have come back. It wasn't, that's that. We could have done a lot worse than Les.

BTW.. NO NICK to the Fins, NO BREES.

We lost Nick, we gained winning in Nola.
4 or 5 more crystal footballs here would have been nice...everybody would hate LSU and I'd be fine with that. haha. The Saints and LSU have won a lot b/c of Les and Nick.

It's silly to hate Saban. He didn't leave us for another college, he went to the NFL. Spurrier did it too. That's not a knock on us, he just wanted to try the pro game.

When that failed (as with Spurrier), he went back to college, and the best job available at that time was Alabama. Spurrier did the same thing by going to South Carolina.

I have a lot of UF buddies and NONE OF THEM hate Spurrier. They love the guy. And I love Saban for what he did for LSU (and I'd take him back in a heartbeat).
