Re: "Doesn't have elite arm strength"

They said the same thing about Etling.

Probably somewhere between a great QB and McMillan or Brennan.

Hopefully he'll prove to be SEC worthy and help us turn the corner on O.

Pros:

- Good size
- Good arm strength
- Accurate in his short experience and practice
- Runs well (Categorized as Dual Threat out of HS)
- Hard worker (graduated in 3 years while playing football full time)
- Smart and understands football really well (actually a coach's son)
- Developed by Urban Meyer for 3 years

Cons:

- Light experience in real game situations
- Not elite arm strength (but still good)
- New to our offense (whatever that is)

From what little I've seen he appears to have what it takes to move an offense.

Of course, like every other QB, he's only as legit as his offensive line, running game, receivers, and the game plan allows him to be.

Come on now, under the big game pressure, down by 7 and no prior experience, the kid did a fantastic job. Minimizing him to elevate Burrow doesn't change facts. I watched that game and was impressed with his poise. Some say he was spectacular.

Yea and nobody ever talks about Ohio State spring game, they was hitting quarterbacks too, so when he was avoiding pressure in the pocket or running the ball, he did a good job to avoid the hit. Most teams won't let the QB get touched in those games.

Not as much as it will melt if McMillan starts game one.

It’s because Burrow is a third team QB and was live for the OSU defense. I promise you their first team QB was not live.

How would you rank our QB’s right now. I would assume you have seen some 7 on 7.

lets stop worrying about our QB, We need to worry about our OL, I went to a practice and they suck. I know OUR def. is good but we could not block anyone. If they don't block tom brady could not play well

The fact that the last time we got a transfer QB, who was in a battle for the starting job with his previous team, lost the job, eventually transferring to us with some age/experience and it worked out....

Most people are expecting the same with Burrow. The fact that Orgeron is relying on transfers at so many starting positions is pretty unique though. I can't think of another program that has a top DL, top WR, best QB, and potentially a starting CB all through transfers.

Also, isn't our kicker also a transfer too?

heres the answer you dont want to hear:

no one knows.

but, based on what we do know, you gotta like LSUs chances. he is 22, he is 6-2 , 225 lbs, making him the biggest boy in the QB film room, and he was good enough to be recruited by Meyer, the guy who won a national title with a 3rd string QB.
