Orgeron didn't give a single shite about coaching after 2019. He knows he will never reach that again and stopped caring. He was a loser coach his whole career and finally made it to the top and had no desire to try again

So glad that bum is finally gone

Couldn't have said it any better

Stop making up shite you have no way of proving. Yeah I get it. He hurt your little feelings and you and a lot of other baws are striking out blindly. Making up shite like this only makes you look like a whiner loser.

He didn't do the job expected. He has paid the price. End of story. Just be a man and get over it, move on. Quit acting like 10 yer old kids that didn't get a pony for Christmas.

So 85 scholarship players for 126 teams equals 10,710 players.

You think “several thousand” are in the portal?

Ok Karen.

He did, because actions speak louder than words.

Even for you, this is weak.

So it is your position that he didn't do a good job because he just didn't want to, that he wanted to give it all up? Why would one do this? Other than just to hurt your feelings I mean.

Quit personalizing things. Orgeron didn't handle things well, that speaks for itself but for people to assume that he did it deliberately is beyond foolish.

The Orgeron era is over. Let's concentrate on the Kelly era.

This. The purge is not over yet either.
LSU had quite a few troublemakers and disloyal employees and many were retained by Orgeron when he got the job. Let’s not forget that Joe Aleva contributed greatly to this debacle.

LSU needed a guy like Brian Kelly badly.

He recruited great athletes. But they weren’t the right kind. No heart or loyalty. Need to build a new foundation.

He was trying to have a 90s Miami culture and vibe around the team.

Obviously that was not working

Orgeron knew, as soon as Woody was hired, his days were numbered, IMO.

He told us this very eloquently.
Whether he was willing to admit it to himself is another question entirely.

Hate to tell you but LSU has been living with " hired guns" for years. Miles was selling LSU as a 3 year school that will get you to the pros. Meanwhile, Saban just tells the kids if they follow his process they will acheive what they want to acheive. So as a result we had a n large amount of 3 rd year guys go pro...many before they were ready like Freak Johnson.

The hired gun stuff caught up with us after the 2019 season. 18 starters went pro. Then with the opt out provisions 4 others sat out for a year.

I can't agree with this. He recruiting the exact same athletes that are at Bama. The difference is, once the guys get to Alabama, they become indoctrinated into a culture of accountability and personal/team responsibility. Meanwhile, the LSU guys get here and see first hand that there's very little accountability and poor leadership.

I'm not questioning this statement. Certainly CBK couldn't have learned this in such a short time. So did it come down to Woodward and/or others informing him who needed to go?

He didn't even have time to interview assistants.
