He hasn’t given up a first down, missed a tackle, or been called for a penalty this whole year. He locks down the entire side of the field against SEC competition. What more can you ask for

Come on. Zy has been very good for LSU, but the guy isn't a first round draft pick.

I was thinking second round. A lot depends on his 40 time

I have nothing to back it up but I just find it so hard to imagine that he hasn’t given up a first down all year.

I wouldn’t throw at him either when I could throw at Ashton Stamps, Jardin Gilbert, Major Burns, or Sage Ryan instead…

Literally his first start of the year, he gave up a 17 yard pass for a first down against South Carolina on the first play

Believe he also gave up a first down on 3rd & 4 against Nicholls

I was surprised to see how low he was on draft boards. Which is odd because he 's the #1 graded corner on PFF but is fairly far down the line in CB rankings for scouting sites.

Like a previous poster said, his 40 time is going to be a big deal.

First play of that game was a pass into the flat that Harold Perkins missed the tackle on

There's probably a lot of questions around how he will test and that always matters for a corner. If he runs a 4.4 or better and shows good athleticism beyond that he could go that high, but the reality is he's probably seen as a 2nd/3rd rounder at best.

Saw a draft board recently where he was ranked in the 50s-60s

Definitely moving up

Gonna be an early day 2 guy

I have no idea, but is JK Johnson as good as Zy Alexander? We could sure use another quality cb so teams would stop throwing only in one direction.

He seems like a less penalized Paulson Adebo type. Feels like a round 2-3 type of guy.

True, but that one catch is like 25% of the yards he's given up all season.

damn, so basically, don't throw it at Zy and you'll be fine

That both makes me want to laugh and cry

Even if this were true, do you think first round DB's never give up plays? Stingley got absolutely torched against BAMA each year here was here and was a top 5 pick.

I’m not arguing Zy’s talent level at all. Just the fact that OP said this:

But what you said wasn't true, baw. First play was a pass in the flat against Perkins for 17 yards.

He’s much more deserving of 1st Round than Nuss.

Laughable people thought he was a 1st Rounder. UDFA more like it.

Zy been a beast

Athleticism and name. He isn’t a huge name in CFB and isn’t the most athletic CB. Still a very solid prospect and will be a 2-3 rounder

Yeah he’s actually better than Zy but we are saving him for the bowl game
