Your dedication to LSU football is admirable.

Given there conferences, does not make sense to me.

So is your command of Engrish.

All that aside, I have the answer for you. ESPN hates LSU. They want to embarrass LSU in front of a nationwide audience by showing all the empty seats in TS. It's their way of giving LSU fans a slap in the face.

but a 1-aa team will gladly kick an ooc opponent to the side to pick up a rent a win paycheck. not many d-1a opponents want to come to LSU without a home and home.

Which I understand and is why I pointed that out.

To say "LSU did not have a choice" is a total and complete cop out.

This is not a cupcake game debate, because Idaho and North Texas are cupcakes. LSU should not go down into Div. 1-AA for football EVER.

FWIW Towson would probably beat Idaho in a head to head matchup, so there isn't really any difference in playing Idaho over Towson.

Townson is RANKED #12 & #15 int the FCS polls so they are a good team. And how happy would espn be if they played LSU hard (let along upset LSU)!!!

For better or worse, perception still means something in college football. Perception-wise, the best 1-AA team is still < the worst 1-A team.

I believe LSU still plays TCU next year in tiger stadium. sept 7, 2013. Did something change since last I checked?

I'm not really sure what difference this makes. Are you concerned about SOS? If we win our games and beat Bama, we will be playing in thee NCG, no questions asked.

There are a lot of teams that have an FCS opponent on their schedule, so it doesn't mean anything.

Yes and no. I've just been following college football long enough to realize, it's not always this simple:

And hate knowing we put ourselves in a position where SOS could possibly come back to bite us in the arse.

Whether it's a good thing or not, it's becoming more and more common. Every SEC team has at least one 1-AA team on their schedule this year. They require a lot smaller guaranteed paycheck than even the worst 1-A teams do.

But it is this simple. We are the number 2 team in the country. We play the number one team in the country, so if we beat them we will be ranked ahead of them (theoretically we would be 1). We play a top 10 opponent in USCe. We play a top 20 opponent in UF and even @UF. We will then have to win the SEC championship, and would win the championship of the most respected conference by far and away in college football.

Which 2 teams is it that you think will jump us, if we do all of that and go 13-0?

Umm ok, then what is it that you are saying?

My original post I said that IF we win our games, then we will play in the NCG to which you replied it isn't always that simple, so clearly you disagreed with my comment.

Where did you see this game on ESPN?

It was on Tigervision.

Outside of the state of Louisiana it was on ESPN gameplan, which has to be ordered as a separate package.

If you found this game on ESPN, then you are lucky, because I think you are the only fan that watched it on ESPN without having to pay or go to a bar.

Why do people keep saying this? TCU was never on the 2012 schedule. It was always scheduled for '13 and '14 until the recent change.
