Ruckert should be better and play full time
Harden shouldn't be leaving for the draft
Patrick should also get PT in the OF
Does Braun move to OF so one of these guys can play 1st?

It won’t be, working for 2028 at this point.

I would imagine Jay is already making his portal list now. We’ll tell our trash to go and fill with better talent. We’ll be better next year

Based on what I’ve seen, if next year’s team isn’t better it will be one of, if not the worst LSU baseball team in more than 40 years!

Agree, our last SEC title was 2017 we’re pushing a decade without winning the best baseball conference which is staggering.

It wont be. It will be a complete rebuild on the position player side. Braun, arrambide and serna really the only pieces worth a shite coming back.

We are always pretty good in odd years under Jay

Build the team around braun. Flat out hitter. 4 hits against lefties in past 2 games. Gives a great at bat. Serna going to be a really good player and may move to 1b or 3b eventually.

At minimum - you've got to get 4 everyday starters from the transfer portal/freshman class. 2 in the middle infield, plus 1 each at corner IF and corner OF. That's assuming Patrick can take the leap to be the CF next year. He's got his work cut out for him, but looks like he'll have time in June to scout the portal this year.

Hope in one hand...

It’s called hitting the portal like a maniac! A lot of these guys are going to be processed once the season is over and they’re going to have to spend the scratch to get some PLAYERS.

Personally, I highly doubt Milam leaves. He’s not an elite prospect at the professional level and he’s a career hitter under .300 in college. I think he comes back as a senior. Plus, your rotation next year will be nasty with Evans and Schmidt as juniors

Yes braun will move to of he doesn’t wanna play first base. Came from his mouth at Coaches committee. Good news is he is stepping up now to see the field more consistently and played a solid first base last night.

Hope that we find a Paul Skenes and Tommy White

Addition by subtraction. Get rid of some of the awful deadweight and the locker room will be better. We have too many holes to try to work around right now.

More NIL money and put it to work.

The next years team is always better.

Wait until we get past further into the season before panicking over next year.
We’re essentially .500 at the halfway mark.
It looks like the team is improving so, try to enjoy some baseball.

He’s currently projected to go in rounds 5-7. That’s probably high enough to get his professional career started.
