How is Finley’s mobility?

Obviously at his size no one expects him to be Lamar Jackson, but can he move at all? Some bigger guys (Jamarcus Russell, Josh Allen, Ben Rothlisberger etc) are surprisingly mobile at that size( not comparing him to those guys overall, just in size). Will Finley be any threat to keep on the zone read?

He’s more of a Dwayne Haskins type. Not much mobility there at all.

No doubt, got to set up some screens and short passes.

He is. It super mobile, but he’s not a complete statue.

So he’s not like a Mettenberger level mobility? That’s good to know

He’s not going to burn anybody but also won’t be easy to bring down. I remember guys hitting Jamarcus and thought for sure he was going down but would just bounce back and throw a dart. That’s Finley.

He is a pocket passer and Johnson is a dual-threat. What an amazing idea it would be if some research was done before posting things.

Just because he is a “pocket passer” doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about a guy’s mobility. Mettenberger was a pocket passer and so was Burrow, but Burrow could run a 1000 times better. Also I wasn’t claiming to know, that’s why I asked. Way to be a dick for no reason.

Burrow was a dual threat QB in high school.

Finley as reportedly lost some weight since coming in back in December. Hopefully that equates to increased mobility.

Yea seems like it would. But even if you consider Burrow a dual threat, the point still stands that just because someone is a “pocket passer” it doesn’t mean their mobility is the same as another guy who is labeled a “pocket passer” there are levels

no comparisons matter to this team in this games besides one: He is less mobile than Brennan.

That’s not what I saw on his high school highlights. I saw a guy who went down on first contact. It was not a big sample size, though.

Oh yea. Being considered a pocket passer means he has no mobility right? Retard

Watching him in high school, he ran if he had a lane while being pressured, but he’s not a guy you design QB runs for. He has lost some weight since getting to college so maybe he can evade pressure if needed, but he’s not going to run away from people. I think an apt comparison for mobility is Jamarcus.

Just because he’s a “pocket passer” doesn’t mean he has no mobility. Would you consider Rodgers a PP? Cause I would and he has the ability to run the ball when he needs too, especially early in his career.

True but in this specific case, he has no mobility

I don’t think he even needs to be as mobile as Rodgers but he’s certainly got to be more mobile than Ryan Mallett

I was going to ask if his mobility was similar to Ben Roethlisberger. I honestly don't remember many times where JR ran but that's just due to bad memory.
