It's time to move on to the freshmen.

Where are the captains of the team getting into his arse for not getting his school shite done? I remember very vividly when Dr. Karam would help students after class, even do public speech assignments in a room with just him so they don't have to present in front of the class.

The professors will do whatever they need to help their students pass. This is just a lack of effort. biggest LSU bust in history

Somebody better get him that number to that truck driving school on late night TV.

He is going to need it.

Yeah I seem to recall a couple people implying it was more than just grades on Saturday

That's not a "week to week" issue though. That's a "he's done" issue.

Unless there is some type of academic probation and/or plan that will allow him to become eligible and get off of probation with good enough grades after the fall semester.

Maybe he skipped class/ tutoring and O is punishing him internally.

The fact it’s “academic” and “week to week” means he got caught cheating in some form or fashion and it’s under review

This is probably right.

That's still not week to week though.

If it's an internal punishment, they don't mention academics even if it's academics.

The cheating thing has the most merit given the information available.

classes just started?? Last semester issues?

Likely didnt make the grades at end of last year, needed to bring them up during summer school and didn't.

Can't fault the coach if the player refuses to put in the work.

incredible how we can dismiss players from the team for smoking weed (Dare Rosenthal) and another SEC team can just scoop them up and it not be an issue all of a sudden.

fricking. Ridiculous.
The SEC should have uniform "Doping" regulations for every school, but doesn't thanks to the lack of leadership by the Commissioner.

He didn’t pass enough hours during fall and spring. Took classes during the summer to meet his academic year requirement. Likely didn’t pass enough there.

Then how is he "week to week" according to Orgeron? Unless a professor is making special consideratiins for him, he's not going to magically add credit hours in the middle of a semester.

that's actually a fair point and something I hadn't considered. Feel Like Stevan Ridley had something like this happen in the 2010 season, although he didn't end up missing any games over it

He has an Incomplete?

Has to be this or cheating. Hopefully it is an incomplete grade from a summer or intersession class amd they are giving him time to submit a final assignment to meet the requirements of the class. That could be a week to week thing.

There are some academic exclusion rules that seem to relate to the last day to add / drop classes. That was pushed back due to the hurricane and would otherwise have happened before the UCLA game. Let's hope it is something simple like that.

Is it really academics or is this how they are describing weed suspensions this year?

Why does it always seem to be the players you need to contribute that just can’t their fricking act straight?

Yall dont realize big time players arent normal students?

I had a QB in a calculus class. Almost everyone failed, but this dude got an A and slept through every class

Which makes it even more baffling that Emery has academic issues keeping him off the field

No way, O has no idea which players are going to class or not.
