If Speights can make it to 1st string in his first year, I am very confident WW will be a star.
Speights success doesn't speak well to our LB coaching.

Dude that led the SEC in tackles without starting every game is too slow…

Exactly, the white LB narrative is the same as the black QB narrative, it's a pre-conceived notion that is not always true.

Speed is not the issue for Weeks.

his biggest issues early on were being out of position and giving up big plays.
Some say both of the big plays vs. South Carolina were on him, I'd give at least one of them primarily on him but the year before the reason he did not play more was because of this issue, being out of position and giving up the big play.

I think he's much better at that now but if anything it may be his size that hinders him, I don't think it will be his speed.

To slow what?
Global warming?
The spread of Burmese pythons?
Type 2 diabetes?

He was just OK this year. High motor guy who very good at getting into the backfield. Good sideline to sideline range. But, he's not very good when they run right at him, also he guesses the wrong gap on many running plays.

Seems like more of an indictment of the Dline than of Weeks.

Some of the responses here have me wondering if The Rant has gone full retard.

Linebackers make up a significant part of a team roster as well as practice squad. They're versatile as special team players as well. Weeks not only makes an NFL team, he probably gets drafted 4th round.
