The way I look at all these games is who’s offense do you trust more against the others defense?

Ok LSU will score and so will Oklahoma BUT who’s defense will get more stops, sacks, interceptions, forced fumbles, TFL, and can tackle better in space. Then I look at individuals. Who’s got the better QB, WRs, RBs, OL, and TEs?

I did that in every game this year and most weren’t close. Even Georgia and Bama I just knew we would get more stops then them and we had the better overall QB. The Florida game was tricky because we hadn’t seen much. The Auburn game was similar. By the time we played GA and Bama it was obvious that we not only would compete but likely beat them.

It’s the same for every team in the CFP IMO. Clemson is the only team that is kinda tricky because we haven’t seen them play anyone of worth. This also doesn’t always work out because these players don’t always play up to their standards. Mistakes happen too. So anything can and will happen but I like our chances against everyone.

What? The OL is probably the strength of the team, and the center, Humphrey, is likely a late 1st rounder.

This seems to be Oklahoma fan’s favorite use of the transitive property. Ive seen it quoted on here a hundred times already this week.

I'm sure you cousin frickers would NEVER mention that stat if it happened to be reversed.

Here's another stat:

Big XII teams in 2019 that gave up more passing yards to texas than LSU:

I don't think defense will be a factor at all in this game. Both teams will score on nearly every possession. LSU has shown to have some redzone prowess (and the band didn't play that awful song even once this season) so I think Okie will have to resort to a couple FGs. Looking at a 48-41 type game.

Xing, it’s true. LSU’s pass defense is really weak. They start a true freshman at CB. Throw at #24 all night!

I was listening to Sallee and Luckinbill this morning and they touched on this. They said OU defense is better because of improved effort and execution. However, their personnel is still the same and they do not have any elite players except maybe the linebacker.

I full expect the game to be an offensive slugfest. Joltin' Joe should have a very productive night.

Yep, and Texas scored 38 points on LSU. You know who else scored 38 points on LSU? Vandy.

Therefore Vandy offense = Texas offense.

amirite?

This is a fun stat too:

Number of teams with better scoring defenses than OU that LSU has beat:
5 (A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia)

Number of teams with better scoring defenses than LSU that OU has beat:
1 (Baylor). I'll even give you 2 points for them because I'm in a generous mood.
