That's shown in last couple of minutes I'm guessing?
The second throw in that video is pretty impressive. A blitzer in his face and he hits the stop route, perfect timing and location.

We are watching highlights of game we lost. Mettenberger couldn't beat Bama. This is getting sad.

At least he played great! Moral victory once again.

At least try to be logical, sir. It certainly wasn't Mettenberger who lost the Bama game.

may be able to elevate Mettenberger's play to an elite leve
I agree 100%, but Cam Cameron isn't even the key.
Don't get me wrong, I think Cam is going to be fantastic and is a huge asset. But the pieces were already in place for Mett to make the jump to elite level even if Cam wasn't brought in.
The "simplistic, crude" offensive system was an unfortunate necessity due to wildly inconsistent OL and WR play, especially early in the season when the coaches were evaluating what we were able to do effectively.
The lack of a true deep threat at WR was only exacerbated by the OL's inability to protect for the amount of time it takes for a deep route to develop, and the drops made even the short routes unreliable.
This year, with, Quantavious Leslie and Travin Dural, two deep threats able to force the defense to cover the whole field, and a presumably much more stable OL, Mett's elite arm talent will actually be put to use. Jarvis will also be allowed to work from his more natural slot position which will be deadly.
Cam's ability to diagnose a defense will certainly help, but the ingredients were already in place for a truly dangerous passing game for the first time since Matt Flynn graduated.
With our schedule we may not win them all, but it sure will be refreshing and fun to watch.

Then who would you prefer to blame? He was the quarterback of the losing team, and you are posting the highlights. Give us a break.

I know right. When trying to evaluate the play of a quarterback, you should disregard the good plays they made in a loss.
Geez, some of you are idiotic.

Please remember where you are. Logic is rarely seen like Haley's comet yet stupidity & bravado run rampant like penises through a whore's vagina.

You didn't actually post this in earnest, did you? Please tell me it is a subtle gibe.

After watching that, Ware was pretty good at blitz pick up.

You win as a team & lose as a team. No one individual is responsible sorely for a win or loss. Reasons & blame can be spread equally across the board, coaches & players but just as it takes execution as a team to win, blame should fall under the same umbrella.
I hate people who look for one sole reason for a loss or one sole person to blame when there always numerous mistakes made that turn win into a loss.
Mett played his arse off that game. He wasn't the reason for the loss to Bama. How the hell can you call yourself a fan yet shite on a player especially in this instance when the criticism is unwarranted?

I expect this year he will be as good as Matt Flynn was his last year at LSU. About twice as many touchdowns to pics. Maybe 20 to 10. Somewhere in the upper 50 to lower 60's on the completion percentage. Maybe 2500-3000 yards of passing.

Man, watching Mett felt good.

I feel he needs confidence which leads to pocket awareness. He tends to pull his shoulders in as if about to be sacked sometimes prematurely. If he confidently steps up or out it can by him time.
It also could be not wanting to be hit. But I have seen him stand in and take some shots too. He needs to just do that every play to take it to the next level. Stay confident = stay on top of your legs firmly.

Kadron Boone can be legit, the dude does not go to the turf easily. Right side of the OL looking gassed in spots, hopefully the young guys will be in better condition to play some uptempo sequences. Mett gets some decent protection and better offensive schemes and he will be alright. Baby steps, the 2011 LSU QB's could not have done what he did in that game = progress with upside.
