That’s throwing them under the bus lol? That’s called reality. We have what we have, they have to get better or we will continue to see repeat performances.

Yeah... the players are soft and don't tackle well. This isn't to remove blame from house ,he need to go , but tackling doesn't look to be on the coaches.

The coaches job is to fit the scheme to the players. Harold Perkins isn’t Ray Lewis but our coaches have wasted game time trying to make him into something he’s not. That’s the microcosm of House’s problem.

If it doesn’t make a difference, why can him now?

I’m not saying not to send him packing, but I don’t think any of his assistants should replace him.

Are you guys the same one’s complaining about recruiting? Don’t you remember how far back it set the program to fire O mid season. We haven’t recovered from that yet. If we pull something that stupid again we will lose who we have recruited……again.

Sure. But where do you play him? They moved him inside, it didn’t work. They play him outside and he gets schemed out. They move him on the edge in the second half and they run right at him All night. Tackles have 100 pounds on him. Other guys have to make plays too. Guys gotta want it and tackle

The tackling is poor but is there any real accountability? I see Burns playing poorly every week but he’s still out there playing in the wrong role of course. Why did Speights get the start over Weeks, Weeks produces and his reward is to sit for a half behind a guy who’s done nothing. So when it comes to accountability and Incentive there’s none with our staff.

I guess Offensive lineman consistently whiffing on blocks wouldn't be on Brad Davis.

WRs dropping the ball or running incorrect routes wouldn't be on Hankton.

You see how crazy that sounds?

You're paid millions of dollars to develop/coach football players...if they can't tackle then that falls on the coach as well. You either teach better techniques or put them in better position to be able to tackle.

Agreed... house gotta go the moment the clock hits zeroes during our last game.

I was using him as an example of personnel decisions we’ve made that make no sense. It’s not just with Perkins, we saw it with Ward last year, with Mason Taylor moving positions this year, with Burns, Sage Ryan, up and down the front, it’s a total mess.

If you wanna bash them for needing to recruit better I'm with you but players missing tackles when they have both hands on the player isn't on the coaches.

I think we are really seeing the loss of so many from the 20 and 21 class. I think all our jr and srs that play are transfers.
Our depth just isn't where it needs to be. Coaches whiffed on some transfer we thought was going to be a plus. Maason Smith was supposed to be the man and he is so bad he didn't see the field until 3rd ole miss possession I think.

I'm with you here. Weeks should be starting. He is literally the only person I expect to make an open field tackling.

Well Smith didn’t even play half the snaps last night and it showed. He’s not a NG to begin with, another position change that makes no sense btw, and neither is Jefferson. This is what I’m talking about, House has no idea what his personnel is and refuses to use them according to their strengths.

No reason to bring house up in the comments.. bk and house know the status.. he is gone after season imo.. they both know this… no reason to not put blame on the players is justified .. they are young professionals .. they have been trained.. conditioned with our facilities and paid…

Blaming the players is kind of a catch 22. On the long TD in the middle of the field, think it was the 2nd or 3rd TD, Speights was supposed to carry the slot WR past 10 yards and pass him off to a safety. Did he do his job, no, should he be asked to do that, of course not. So again we have coaches unnecessarily asking guys to do things they can’t do. Brandon Taylor said it last night, he couldn’t tell you who was responsible because he’d never seen that defense and doesn’t know what it is. A guy who played in the NFL said that.

The sad part is he one of the highest paid coordinators. I didn't think we would be this bad on defense. I figured the offense would have to carry us but damn... house has to go. The fanbase will be too loud this offseason.

Clearly on defense the coaches are just throwing scheme and player rotation agst the wall to see if anything sticks. I’m wondering if putting House on the sidelines to talk to defense as a whole and individuals as necessary, instead of up in the booth, would help the players. Can’t hurt.

Needs to spend sometime in a outhouse.

His parents named him and friends knew as “Out”...
