And I think Bo Jackson's freshman year stats are about what the expectation for Fournette should be. He compares favorably to all of those guys above though, which is ridiculously exciting.

Would be thrilled with Bo Jackson type stats for Fournette.

I think he has potential to hit 1,500 yards though. Les will give him 20 carries a game. He has rode that hot horse before and he'll do it again.

The game is a lot different and he doesn't need to be Herschel. I think in the neighbourhood of bo is a reasonable expectation. Not bad company if he can live up to that. Unreal athletes.

He'll add nice receiving stats too.

Peterson actually ran the 100 meters in high school, and I can't remember the exact number but it was lower than a 10.6. He wasn't nearly as big as Fournette in HS though.

I can't see Les giving him enough carries to be in the All-American talk, but he will get the most carries on the team. I bet he has similar numbers to Jeremy Hill from last year (remember that Hill basically lost two games worth of carries due to suspension).

you can't calculate 40yd/100m from either time, both take different strategy to run and the 100m starts from blocks, not 3 point stance, and the 100m is ran in track spikes

Adrian Peterson
Size: Big
Speed: Fast

Bo Jackson
Size: Big
Speed: Fast

Herschel Walker
Size: Big
Speed: Fast

Leonard Fournette
Size: Buga
Speed: Bugs

Fournette will redefine what it means to play football.

You contradict yourself. Hill had plenty good numbers to be an all American, just had other running backs viewed as more deserving

I don't recall Hill making any first or second team all-America lists last year, nor was he a Heisman finalist. I'd take Hill over almost any back in America last year, but LSU rotates backs too much for one guy to rack up the mega-stats.

I'm not disagreeing with the philosophy, just pointing out that at least this year, Fournette won't be getting a trip to NYC.

Adrian Peterson was and is listed on Rivals coming out of high school at 6'2 210. Theoretically, Fournette 20lbs lighter, is probably faster than Peterson at the same weight.

I'm thinking he gets about 150-160 carries this year. 8-10 leading up to Auburn and then 12-14 ending out the year. At 6.5 ypc (which I really think is possible with his home run ability and our OL) that's anywhere from 975-1040 yards.

Hill playing all year would have been 240 car 1654 yards 19 TDs, 21 rec 214 yards. Those are 2nd team All-American stats.

I tend to agree with those of the "it's a different game" school.

Herschel Walker played for a guy that smoked cigarettes on the sidelines. Those old schoolers like Coach Dooley (who, btw, had one of the greatest southern accents of all time) would have been considered foolish to NOT runa stud like that 25-30 times a game.

That said, and even though I'm not a star gazer, I honestly do think that LF running behind this particular O line (which is IMHO not mentioned nearly as much as it should be when his 2014 expectations are assessed), and being spelled by the likes of Magee and Hilliard, etal, will look like Cecil Collins sans the pervertedness, mental retardation, and broken leg.

For Fournette.

May be wrong but he with drew from the 100 meters finals his junior yr. 'cause of a ham tweak and last yr. (his sr. yr.) the coach wouldn't let St. Aug kids participate. I would have loved to have seen his time in one of these finals.

It's All American list! After Hill's well documented run ins with the law and his missing playing time, he wasn't making that list without big numbers and big impacts on national games.

Seven yards a carry playing in the SEC for a starting RB would normally get a player on some AA list.

Those numbers are frickin amazing.

BUT

I believe we all know Hill doesn't run 4.59. At least he didn't look like 4.59 to me when he was running through, around and by SEC defenses.
