Frey did take it but he's given it up

I don’t think CJJ will give up on Frey that easily. He’s still the main DH. It’ll take more than a few bad games from Frey to return to a platoon at DH again. This team needs some consistency at the plate & you don’t get that by pulling a guy that was on a heater & has cooled off a little.

They are currently platooning the DH spot. Pearson started 2 of the 3 weekend games.

It is weird to me in the last 2 weekends Jay has pinch hit Beck twice in intense situations but he hasn’t gotten any other type of chance. I would love to see him start a midweek at DH.

In the Tennessee game I just assumed it was because he was really the only lefty available at that point.

Larson barely hobbled to first base on what would have been an easy 2B yesterday in 8th inning. Not sure how he cleared the injury report, but he’s definitely far from 100%.

Didn’t the ball hit him right in the quad too?

Because Jay plays matchups. If they start a RH pitcher, he's going to start a LH hitter. LH pitcher, RH hitter.

Whoever Jay thinks needs to be the DH

I don’t think the Rant will risk leaving such an important decision up to the head coach.

He hurt himself sliding into 2B a few games ago

Assuming we stick with the matchups, first in line would be:
John Pearson vs LHP
Beck vs RHP

If Larson could run, then him.
