How do we mask our Dline deficiencies for the rest of the year?

I really thought having all veterans along the line would mean an improved unit, but I’m just not sure the talent is there. We have seen this unit get whipped multiple times in the last couple years.

Do you think they hit their stride and become a dominant unit? Or do they continue to struggle? If they continue to struggle, what are some things Aranda can do to protect them?

Lol what? Our D-line is fine. The way the D played yesterday was situational I promise you. Our D will be great.

The D-Line looked solid. To put pressure on the QB or stuff the run the linebackers need to step it up.

We have been waiting on Rashard Lawrence to be dominant for 4 years. Fehoko gets pushed around at times. Glen Logan and Farrell show flashes, but neither at consitant. Shelvin has the most potential, but he still gets gassed very quickly. None of these guys have shown consistency. If they are super talented, they don’t show it every snap.

Shelvin stayed in all the way until he cramped. I didn’t see any of him being gassed.

IMO, the line played solid against the run but really struggled to get push and penetration on passing plays.

Too many times last night Ehlinger had all day to throw. When Aranda sent a blitz or stunt it almost always hit home. Curious as to why he didn't use it more in those 3rd and long situations

We played to contain Ehlinger yesterday and make him beat us throwing the ball. They had 3.3 ypc for 121 yards. DL was fine for the most part.

Ika did not play.

The official LSU stat sheet came out tonight and it had a participation outline of players. Ika did not play any snaps at all. That is a huge concern given the other injuries on the line.
