what if you have encouraged 4 or 5 times and the same thing keeps repeating itself?

You're right. Stopping Urban Cryer would help.

You can't blame the fans.. they were put in a scheme and they're not executing. We'll just blame it on coaching.

Luckily some of the fans are young and can improve for next year.

apparently most in this thread would have me spread my praise around to those who have done nothing to deserve it.

He was wrong in some of his other theories as well. And he's dead or I would tell him myself.

Fact is LSU fans care more about getting trashed for a game then actually being good fans. That's why they bitch so much about night games. Not because its tradition, but because they wanna get good and liquored up before the game.

Then you have drunk assholes who just boo because they aren't happy with the performance and give up when we are behind or leave.

Take alcohol away and you'll only partially change things, and not necessarily for the better, but it is a huge reason our fans are an embarrassment much of the time.

i am not condoning people getting drunk and acting like A$$hoes in front of children and women.

they truly are an embarrassment, and should be put out of the stadium.

my only point is booing repeatedly sloppy play does not make you classless or any less of a fan.

and it isn't personal, like many try to make it out to be.

No for a game against Tulane the corporate a-holes either sell there ticket to joe sixpack on ebay for double the value or just leave the seat vacant

You don't think that after a bad play that the boos don't feel personal? You don't have to cheer for a bad play, the other fans do that. We should start cheering them on for the next play, to let them know that we are behind them. I like it when our QB has to wave his hands to settle us down so the signals can be heard.

A lot of our fans lack perspective of things and really aren't the most intelligent. With that said, you really can't do anything about the type of fan behavior you mentioned. It's just that our fans will bitch about anything(for example, playing music over on the sound system) and it gets sickening at times. The beauty of college football is its large crowds and the unpredictable nature of it, for better or worse. We just have to let it be and hope one day the idiots will see the light.
