what can the athletic dept. do to boost morale around here?

Tell Les to hire a big name defensive coordinator w/ a proven track record of success rather than promoting 2 very average position coaches.

once again do you like having a good team?

I love having a good team, but I HATE seeing the chair sections clear out at halftime. It's an embarassment. I know there are thousands of loyal fans like myself who would go to every game and stay for the whole thing if we could get tickets at a reasonable price. Personally, I can't afford $1500 tickets from Stub Hub, sold by, you got it, the corporate arse holes.

its the way of big time college football. if you want to stay good you have to raise prices to compete and you have to have the big money keep giving. the common fan might be louder but the money is what makes the stuff go.

Id guess that LSU is on the low end of ticket prices for major teams.

Reality is that the Student Section and Greek sections are the biggest problems. They simply allow them to behave completely inappropriately and a large problem is that people would rather buy tickets to make a buck than to actually support the tigers.

Those sections have gotten progressively weaker and it really is a shame. They feel entitled rather than being thankful. Those of us whom lived through the dark years, remember the good ole days of the student section.

I think I'm in the minority of students who feel actually lucky to be sitting in the section. I know it will be quite a while before I'll be able to get season tickets after I graduate next year and I only got 2 years with season tickets as a student (this & next).

Make them all Alabama fans, since some only cheer if they're No1.

The problem lsudiva2010 is that it has become purely a social event for most students, and not a support event. Basically what the Greek section has always been has become the student section now as well.

They are lethargic, fair-weather, and would rather beat the traffic and go get shite faced at a bar like Bogies than support the players.

People look at LSU football solely entertainment now rather than as a family.

Why can I cheer when something goes well, but I can't voice displeasure when something goes wrong???

especially when the same thing goes wrong over and over again.

Encouragement vs Discouragement, look 'em up, they produce different results. Analyze your goals and then go for it.

1. Cancel Mardi Gras (Acting drunk and stupid has been part of our tradition for centuries. It's engrained in our psyche)

2. Disallow alcohol on campus for tailgaters.

3. Plant nuns and priests throughout the stadium.

4. Don't let the opponent score, and beat them by 60+ with the backup QB.
