The gun is at his head. The gun is loaded.
If LSU continues to drift, and a similar Ole Miss disaster occurs, he will have effectively pulled the trigger and be gone.
Hope that doesn't happen, but the onus is on the coaching staff.

"Deer in the headlights" coach. I will never forget that look on his face when the Horns came back from a 35-14 halftime deficit to beat his OSU team 56-35. It was classic!!

There are a few people, some post here who fail to understand this.
Its all on the coaching staff. LSU fans are not the only people that see deficiencies. Everyone does. If the LSU staff can correct them, their job is 100% safe. If not, they are in jeopardy.
LSU fans, and others just point out the obvious. Its all up to Les Miles and Staff, not TD.com board posters.

the question is, why in the hell was texas down 35-14 at half in the first place? let an inferior team and coach spank your @$$ for a half?

you're right. like i would gain so much from this post. if i was gonna bullshite, i could be a hell of a lot more creative than this. if this post were "true", i would gain so much out of it. ausberry told me, "man, i would have to come up with 25 million dollars for the staff. so you see the bind im in." send him this post, im not afraid. all he can do i deny, deny, deny. in the meantime, bleaux me. i can always guess who the next smartass ranter with a sacrcastic response will be. you happen to be in that handfull of f*cktards.

amen, brother. sat here in my house and watched that game with my sister, who bleeds burnt orange.i can remember hiring miles after watching those type meltdowns and his absolute asswhipping in a bowl game(alamo?) instead of ipecac syrup to induce vomiting, i put on replays of that game or 2005 lsu tenn. both are nominees for the linda lovelace award. choke fkin city

how is it he got to where he is then?
Do you Know about Gerry Faust, Hallman, Dinardo?
He may be smarter than the folks who hired him. Letting Saban walk and hireing MIles does not make a great resume.

Add to that the O line problems, the injuries at RB, the less than sharp routes run by R's/drops, and a pretty green SEC QB. I think all of those are the reason Crowton remained, but I do think he is hanging by a thread.
Good points Lonniie! Crowton's legacy is glaring and I'll be anxious to see this yr's results.

You are already spinning your defense. If he says you are full of shite, then he is lying.
Let me see, do I believe you a jerk off on a board or Ausberry? You lose, retard!

One word "Lucky". Take the '07 season. Despite poor coaching and play calling the team squeaked by several near losses. Actually dropped one to a crappy Kentucky team. Goes on to lose the last game of the season to a crappy Arky team. Then somehow West Virginia manages to lose to Pitt thus giving us the nod for an opportunity to play an overated tOSU team in the Sugar Bowl. Miles used up more good luck in that one season than most coaches see in an entire career.

You are correct, it is not up to us. But as long as Obama has not taken away our right to free speech or taken over the Internet, we can come on here and share our points of view! Mine is to show "The Hat" the door.

UT fans do loathe Miles, mainly because he was able to beat OU when he was at Okie State and Texas couldn't. I think they hate on Miles because his most obvious coaching comp is Mack Brown and they can't criticize their own coach. Bashing Miles is a passive agressive way to rip on Mack Brown.

Well, since the post was about what outsiders think, regardless of what any LSU fan thinks, the people I know who are fans of opposing teams think that Miles is a guy who isn't very bright and will always lose a few games he should win. I work with a number of Ole Miss and Alabama fans, and they just laugh at Miles. Doesn't mean they're right, but that's their perception.

I will, I will!!!!
We were 5-0 in 07 vs. teams that finished the year in the Top 15. That's bout as impressive as it gets.
We beat like a drum the ESPN guys favorite #1 ranked OSU and owned all the polls, but some have to try to find ways to discredit a NC won by their own team, I guess, to pursue their agenda against their own coach, I guess.
I just don't get the need to belittle a NC team, but then I don't get the appetite some have to eat their own either.

I'd love to hear your spin on how Saban got to the BCS game and how over rated Oklamoma was. You do recall what had to happen for LSU to get there don't you? Of course you do. but it just doesn't fit into your idiotic rant does it?

Since Les is safe until next year; why don't we just NOT GIVE A rats arse what other people think or care about him. He's our coach. If we can't support him, then pull for the next team YOU love. This board makes me want to puke with all the Miles bullshite.
By the way, CPM is having problems with winning baseball games; why is NO ONE calling for his head??

Gee, why the venom? The original poster asked a question and I answered it. Nothing more. Don't bite my head off for giving an honest answer to the question.

It's funny how this thread comes out and then Fineberm writes an article that includes Les as the subject.
