How do outsiders perceive Miles?

How do non-LSU/non-SEC people perceive Miles? I just ran into an Ohio St guy and the first thing he says to me is 'I heard you guys are firing your coach this year'. I am not huge on Miles but I guess I had to defend him so I snapped back with 'Miles would be an upgrade at Ohio St since he outcoached Tressel', or something to that effect.

Point is, what do non-LSU or non-SEC people in your area think of Miles? Is his reputation as bad as it appears to be?

They love him. They want LSU to sign him to lifelong extension.

Miles reputation is worst on this board. Somehow it has become fashionable for brain dead jackasses to continue to bash him.
Did you post make you feel better? Did it somehow make you feel more like a man? Did it make you feel like you belong?

Surprisingly, I've run into Michigan fans who still want him.

Surprisingly I have friends all over the country and they couldn't care less about Les Miles.

My father is an Auburn grad and thinks LSU just has a shitty fanbase when it comes to coaches. He has lived in Baton Rouge for over thirty years and says the fanbase Has just become spoiled and stupid.

I don't believe he thinks Miles is the greatest, but thinks he a solid coach that has done some great things for LSU.

Auburn and their treatment of Tubby and then their treatment of Gene when he arrived...

On a national level, I think most would consider him a fool based on the Ole Miss debacle. Having said that, I more people in general think more highly of him than they do our fanbase.

I know more people who think LSU can do better and think the criticism is justified.

Fool is a bit strong, don't you think. Oh damn I'm sorry. Did I interrupt your mindless pile on?
Come back when you have an original thought.

His comment doesn't mean he thinks Auburn is full of Saints.

I will say that I worked in GA for a while with some Auburn fans. They liked Tubby as did my father. They said it was Lowder who always had it out for Tubbs.

Yeah it was a frick up, but it was greatly overexaggerated as the biggest frick up in the history of sports. The media needed something to bitch about and try focused on it. LSU fans really need to just get past it and support our coach that has done a lot of good things for LSU.

Depends on who you are talking to. Anyone who really knows football, like HS coaches or CLM's peers, and he is a damn good coach.
People who are wannabes and dumbasses, like the crowd around here, think CLM is garbage.

He is a joke on national television, and his followers are a joke as well.

You are a perfect example of the basher crowd. Next year you get to ride in the front of the short bus.
