The only emotion I could sustain for any real length of time was shame. I am still amazed at how bad of a coach Miles is once his confidence is shaken. Along the same lines, when he is sure of himself he's one of the best in the game.

Was leaving stadium, but glanced at monitor by concession stand and saw referee with head set on giving penalty call. Immediately went back in stadium to see winning run.

First...we won.

Secondly, as the ball went past JJ, I immediately yelled something to the effect of, "God dammit, Gary...why can't you get the fricking play in on time?!?"

I saw the flag, realized it was on TENN...laughed as Dooley freaked out and smiled contently knowing Ridley was not going to be denied.

Once Ridely went in, I celebrated with the guy that sits next to me who turned and said, "Always exciting...never easy."

There's always that one definite moment after your team loses a heartbreaker that you think to yourself. Damn I wish we had one more play. Just one. To see Lee complete that 4th and 14 only to see it unravel with Jefferson fumbling the snap was awful to experience. Tiger Stadium literally groaned. It was painful.

But then there was that flag and you kept thinking no way in hell. Everyone was still trying to grasp what was going on when Ridley broke through the line.

I realize it was a rough, rough ending, but to be at that game and to experience a "loss" only to realize wait you won, it felt awesome.

Nope, that win showed up in the standigs just like every other one

Yeah i can tell yall a lot of games i was more pissed off at, the actual losses.

I still dont forgive saban for that iowa game i went to. How bout the tenn loss in 05, UK in 07, Any loss to arkansas, UAB, UF loss in 03, Auburn in 04/06.

Are yall mad about the other close games we have won? Bluegrass miracle? OT against oregon state? We beat troy by a total of 13 pts the last two times weve played them, both were come back victories.

i was watching the game and when T-bob snapped the ball past jefferson and the tenn fans ran onto the field I turned the station I couldn't bare to watch tennessee storm our field.

I was watching a pac 10/12 game that came on later that night when the highlights of the LSU/TENN game came on and I was pissed again.

Lee threw the long pass, T-bob snapped the ball past jefferson and then the announcer said but this is les miles and he is lucky see tennessee got flagged for 13 men on the field and then on an untimed play steven ridley punches it in from the 1 yrd line to give the tigers and the riverboat gambler they call the HAT an improvable win.

I FAPPED and then went to sleep.

I was pissed because I knew Tennessee was NOT a very good team and there was no reason for us to have been in that situation in the first place.

It was made worse by the mass substitutions and calling a running play with time running out and no timeouts left.

Yeah, we won, but it sure didn't feel like we did.

That was just dumb luck and fortunately Tennessee was dumber than us at that moment.

I still get pissed about that because it wasn't the only time such nonsense took place while we had Crowton as OC. Inept fools continue to make such mistakes over and over again as Crowton did. I loathe ineptness.

Sounds like we're on the same page. Crowton was a disaster.

It is still my second favorite win that I've seen, right after bluegrass miracle. Even my wife was excited and screaming at the tv.

I was sick to my stomach watching that train wreck at the end. By the time I realized there was a flag, everything was blurry and moving in slow motion. It was like a dream sequence watching the improbable series of events that culminated in a win.

That game encapsulated all of the issues, self-destruction, luck, and chaos that have plagued LSU the last three years.

59:43 =

59:43 - 00:05 =

00:05 =

00:00 =

-00:01 =

That HAS to be a record for the amount of time between scores in a game. It could only be longer if it was the KO returned for a TD.

Then my cousin called me saying "Can you believe that?" I was like "Yeah. How the hell do you substitute with no timeouts and under 30 seconds to score." My cousin was like, "Ed, you do know LSU won right?"
Then I said "No, I'm a chitty fair weather fan".

After the Ole Miss game (year before last), I made a vow never to curse, throw things, or lose control of my emotions during an LSU game because after said Ole Miss game, I threw a glass of wine out onto 6th street (Monroe), and went out to our deck, picked up a big concrete planter, and and smashed it on our deck (after kicking it and 'bout breaking my foot).

During the whole Tennessee fiasco, I sat there like a boss, arms folded, not saying a word.
