$10 million or so in annual salaries and you would think somebody could've figured this one out. But hey, it's taken nearly 10 years not to have countless delay of game calls. Though on the last one, miles did his best to run out the clock before scoring at the end of the half.

Harris was good at the deep passes but not at moving the chains which is what you need to do to win football games. I doubt practice was any different.

"There's no freaking conspiracy to deliberately lose or deliberately piss you off."

I believe the first part of this remark, but given the number of threads on this subject lately I'm gonna say they excel at pissing us off.

This coaching staff isn't organized enough to orchestrate a conspiracy. They can barely get the plays in on time.

Just shows more bad judgement. If Ettling was such a known quantity then why didn't he get a shot in the Wisconsin game? I bet they were shielding him for JSU.

You are right. There never ever in the history of college football was a situation where the coaches started a qb who ended up being ineffective and replaced him with a guy who succeeded. Just lsu.

Some of you are now so mad that lsu has made changes and started winning that you are reaching for things to bitch about.

He does. It never makes it to the games.

Hindsight is amazing.

There was plenty of talk about how good Etling looked going in to the season, but if you even hinted that he might see the field this season, this board would burn you at the stake for being an idiot.

I'm happy LSU won. But I'll keep questioning abject stupidity when I see it. I'm sorry if it hurts your feelings.

Doesn't hurt my feelings. It just really makes you look like an imbecile for bitching about something that happens a lot in all levels of football.

Some local journalist posted an article about this, so I made a thread for discussion, and I was lambasted for linking click-bait journalism.

Maybe I do need to chill, but some of these posts are worse than ridiculous, not to mention regurgitated for the 4,397th time, or however many other times we've had to read the same thing.

I specifically said "the self-anointed geniuses and Miles haters." Those didn't specifically reference you or any one other individual but if either shoe fits, feel free to wear it. If the worst thing you ever get called is self-anointed genius, you'll lead a charmed life.

Please tell me what is illogical or what assumptions are flawed. You asked why Etling didn't get more reps in practice. I answered based on the most logical assumptions there are. It appears you just want ranters to justify YOUR assumption that the staff is just stupid.

I think it's rather illogical to blindly grasp at reasons to justify your assumption and not consider other alternatives.

Finally, there's a huge difference between "discuss(ing) relevant topics" and flaming away trashing coaches and players who no doubt work harder at their jobs than the Great Internet Warriors who have nothing better to do than try to tear them down. I'm not specifically aiming this at you, but that's the nature of The Rant and I think it's disgusting and that's why I went off.

I don't think it's possible to have a rational discussion on here without getting every thread hijacked by haters. If you find a place where people can rationally discuss the team or football in general instead of how much they hate the coaches, please let us know.

Loving a head coach more than the program makes you the authority in being an imbecile. Thankfully, I'll never reach your astronomical levels of stupidity.

I would bet a hefty sum that the ones that blasted you will probably end up being the same people that acted like they knew he should have started all along.

He was injured leading up to the Wisconsin game. May not have been 100%

The weak comebacks many of you have for being challenged on here with your utter stupidity are getting repetitive. Love the head coach more than the program? Ok

I guess I shouldn't be surprised though coming from someone who is getting unglued over a backup being substituted in the game for an innefective player and then succeeding.

There are many like him who are legit pissed that lsu didn't fold like they thought they would after Wisconsin. Many of those same people weren't predicting it. They were hopeful that it would happen.

People keep forgetting this.

Also, unless Harris looked absolutely putrid in practice leading up to Wisconsin, you don't start the transfer over your returning junior in game one.
