Well if there is no chance of him getting in the cage and into the stadium anymore, I say abandon that idea all together and at least have him in his habitat for the kids to see on gameday.

When did LSU stop having him in the habitat on gamedays?? He was out there last year.

If this is the current policy then I would be pissed if I was a donor. It would be the same as if the zoo put the lions and tigers away on their busiest days of the year.

When he is in his habitat on Gameday he is even less likely to move in to the trailer. Which do you want ?

In my opinion, it is much more important to have him in his habitat on gamedays. People want to go and see Mike. Having him on the sidelines is cool and all but I really think it is not nearly as important especially if they don't want to make him roar.

A big cat lounging in a trailer is not all that intimidating. Unless he is trained to roar, it is pointless to have him on the sidelines IMO.

It all goes back to my original point. LSU bought a tiger knowing it would be extremely hard to train it to do a lot of the things Mike V did. It is silly to try to send Mike VI into the stadium bc all he will do is hang out in the cage and NOT roar. Let him hang out in the habitat so at least people can enjoy looking at him the one day they get to go to campus.

The problem is that you are just viewing Mike as a commodity instead of a living breathing magnificent creature.

I totally agree with this. I'd rather watch him splash around and play in his habitat than lay in a trailer all stressed out. Plus, you can hardly even see him in his trailer unless you are pretty close.

build an underground tunnel from Mike's cage to the stadium. Let Mike walk his own arse over to the stadium. Bring in Sigfried and Roy to tame him and run him out of the tunnel on a leash before the players, then tie the leash to the other gate the visiting team runs out from and let him enjoy the whole game. He just can't leave early...our fans don't like that.

gotta agree we should have bought a new born tiger instead of roscoe. Hopefully in 20 or so years LSU will actually buy another cub instead of making this mistake again.

I disagree. I hope we get a cub, as well, but only if we can rescue it. There are plenty of fantastic tigers that need a home. Taking in a rescue is the noble thing to do.

We need to get Tulame students to steal him - then get a "rescue" cub

1. Replace current trailer with clear glass model.
2. Carefully select a female volunteer in tiger-themed attire for each game.
3. If Mike won't go, then Michelle goes in his place.
Win-Win-Win

Scratch Mike's a-hole with a wire brush for about a minute then put some ether on it.

taking in any tiger is a noble thing to do. Id prefer we have a mascot that roars again and will get it in its damn cage 7 to 8 times a year.

also i dont want one named roscoe again, get it as a cub.

Maybe we could get a loaner from the truck stop in Grosse Tete for the Florida & Auburn games....

Ok let me spell it out...

How can we get Mike the Tiger more envolved in footaball games? How can we get him on the field? Can we train him to Roar like we did with Mike V?
He is the best mascott in the country, how can we show him off?

You spelled envolved wrong, it's evolved. And actually, it takes thousands of years for things to evolve.

We build this Tiger a multi-million dollar habitat, the fans worship him, he lives like a King...and yet he won't get in a cage 6/7 times a year and be paraded around for 30 minutes?

frick that. Get him in there. He's an animal, not fine china. He'll be fine.
