A lot of people didn’t realize that Wade had 3 - 5 stars lined up to come in next year (with Marvel reclassifying.) That would have made us a favorite against anybody we played in the country and very possibly could have been the first natty in our school history.
Imo, we should have pulled a Kansas and let next year play out.

Will Wade is most likely going to get a show-cause. Meaning - he won't be able to coach college ball for a few years.

Kentucky will turn their nose up to Wade.
What's gonna piss me off is when I see him making runs in the tournament with some no-name school. Imagine how shitty it's going to be when someone like Clemson just starts making the tourney every year and occasionally is making deep runs,

Gah damn, some of yalls obsession of WW is ridiculous.
The guy was nothing special, wasn’t that good if a coach (development/gameplan/adjustment) he got sloppy and is out. Move on.

Will Wade was objectively the 7th-best SEC coach AT BEST. What--if he got 4 more 5-stars, he'd become the 4th-best? What makes you think Kentucky wants a tier 2 or tier 3 SEC coach?

Look I love Wade as much as anyone but if we are being honest, player development and basketball IQ hasn’t exactly been our best quality lately
As a tactician, he wasn’t elite. Yea I get it, he did great compared to everyone else in our largely mediocre basketball history, but that’s not a high bar.
I don’t think it’s impossible to get someone who can actually coach in the game, develop players, have guys who play with toughness and just a little intelligence who will also get to the tournament annually.
Maybe I’m asking too much.

That might be the worst part to me. We were stacked and had a great chance for a tournament run. Penalties aren’t coming down any time soon and Scott blinked because he selfishly wanted his hire.
Scott basically admitted to wrong doing with his letter and now our recruiting class is going to be gone and the players are gone thanks to finding out via Twitter. Scott stepped in a pile of shite by not talking to the team.
