I also feel bad for the people that tailgate in the AG lot. They will have to be there at 4am to reserve thier spot. The AG lot is going to be full for every game.

Also the increased tailgate setups are going to hinder parking for those who park at the AG lot and tailgate elsewhere like many in our crew.

This is sooooooooooooooo going to piss Jesse off when he rolls his arse up here at noon and has to park by the lakes.

No impact on our tailgate. We don't have a trailer yet, but even if we get one. That's only $300 for the season. Divide it up amongst everyone, and it's a nominal fee.

The only difference this year will be that my gf will have to get up earlier because I won't be leaving campus once I get there early and claim my free parking space.

No impact. People will pay up and kick and scream while doing so but eventually they will quit crying.

I know we all need gas but a few years ago when gas was just hitting $3 a gallon everyone was ranting and raving now it is $3.50+ and everyone seems to have accepted it.

Over time it will be accepted as the way it is.

^^^^^^This. Will eventually be accepted. People bitched about ticket prices going up and said fans would stop going to games. Pretty sure the waiting list for season tickets is as high as it has ever been. Long is LSU is winning, this shouldnt be a problem.

how it impacts us if that we will meet at a location like Wal-Mart on College and ride in as few of vehicles as possible over to LSU. i think the worst part is going to be that we currently wont even be able to get to tailgating spots until 8 AM

i know of one for sure and he has been doing his tailgate for a long time.

i've heard others moaning and trying to figure it out.

it will be a wait and see.

it will weed out all the trash hopefully that only go out there when we are winning, but i'm sure there will be some legit casualties which sucks.

My parents also.

I do not think people realize the ripple effect it will have on all. People are not going to stop coming b/c they have to pay they are either going to pay or move to a free spot to tailgate. These people moving are going to start the ripple.

There will be a very negative impact. Whoever decided to issue tickets at the corner of River Road and Gorrier for the River Road lots has never been there on game day. Traffic backs up all the way to Nicholson and Brightside. Seems a lot of the crowd shows up after 1 for night games. This is typical thinking on the admin side. Its also not about distance. The River Road lots are over a mile from the stadium and cost $20/car. There are lots on campus a lot closer that are free.
My bet is that most of the crowd will show up for the second half kickoff next time we have a late morning game.

My main question is how are these "sales" going to happen. Are they going to have some brother with a stack of passes and a roll of twenties standing on Highland at 5am. Sounds safe to me!!

My group is done, we were usually in the 15-20 range and another group I would hang out with is done but they only had 8-10 people.

The fees may not have killed all tailgating, but it killed my tailgating. I have missed maybe two home games in the last 10 years and I may not go to any this year. I have always bought tickets, but that was with the understanding that it included an all day party with my friends. This year I would have to pay more and not party with friends.

I will save lots of money this year hosting house parties and not buying tickets/parking. Also, I can drink during the game and not have to worry about fighting traffic or getting a DWI on the way home.

This has major cluster written all over it.
I don't think it will be resolved during the first game either.
Wait until the first SEC game and especially if its an early game like LSU - UK could very well be a 11:30 game.

Also, how pissed will fans be if visiting teams like Fla or Auburn get better tailgating than others.

I looked on lsusports.net and couldn't find the 2011 parking map.

Can someone link it for me so I can see if our tailgate is done-for?

Thanks
