I'm almost embarrassed to say haha. I'm still relatively young (23) so it's not like I have a family to care for, so LSU football is pretty significant. A win has excited all week, and a loss is pretty devestating. My Saturday night is absolutely ruined and the rest of the week just sucks. Try to avoid any shows that are discussing the game and stay away from ESPN.com. However with a win, I'm all about college game day final and reading every single article out there about the game. I've head with age, a loss isn't as significant as when we are younger. My source is a good buddy of mine who is a die hard Tenn fan. Whether he says that due to the slump or whatever, it's clear my passion for LSU football is ridiculous compared to his for UT.

I would say, things that are important to me (in order of importance):

1. Family/Friends/Dog
2. Money/FinancialGoals
3. LSU football
4. Other hobbies (movies, TV, gambling, LSUbaseball, etc)

That would not happen at my house.

#1- My wife knows better than to try that

#2- My wife is a bigger LSU fan than me. If I pulled that crap she would yell at me to get out of the way of the TV.

Then explain the Clemson lost to me?

This game got me in trouble. I had my kid for new years and my girlfriend decided to host a kid friendly new years party. Well, when the game ended, I didn't talk to anyone. I sat down, got shite faced on crown, and passed out on the couch. She was pissed, I wasn't even awake a midnight to give her a kiss and left her and my then 4 year old kid to clean up.
Can't say I blame her for being mad, but I was too for other reasons.

Depends on how we lose. If it's an '08 (or '09 can't remember) clock failure at ole miss type of loss I'm thoroughly pissed. But if we just loose cause we weren't the better team (which rarely happens) I'm alright with it.

In my youth all wins was great, losses was bad, the third loss was devastating now any loss is devastating and I expect them to win every time , not every body grows up !

If you've been around the program for 35 years as I have its much easier nowadays. Its easy for me to remember hoping for one of the few bowl berths under Cholly Mac and the nice ride we took under Bill A. The shite years started getting to me from Jerry S to Mike A and our beloved Curly Q. What bothers me most now is the lack of appreciation that this last decade and a half recieves. The younger fan cant really relate to how great this run is and smell the roses. I feel sorry for them sometimes.

The turning point for me was the BCSCG that we lost to the gumps. Prior to that, LSU football was a big part of my life. I read a lot of articles, watched game replays, listened to radio shows about LSU FB, & followed recruiting very closely.

After that game, my level of interest in LSU FB dropped off quite a bit & I have not recovered yet. I realize that game was huge, but I'm not sure why one game led to such a big dropoff in interest in a program that I followed so passionately for over 30 years, even in very disappointing years.

I was sincerely sour for a good 3-5 days after last year's loss to Ole Miss. Sometimes, the it's-only-a-game rap just doesn't fly.

I'm ready to quit my job if they can't give me off on Saturdays. That's how big.

22...?? Are you kidding you haven't seen enough games to have an opinion.
...And I have probably been to more games since 1995 as an out of state resident than most on this board.

I grew up 2 miles from the LSU campus, pretty much my entire family attended LSU and my grandfather taught there for 30 years. Outside of my Faith, family, best friends and future career LSU football/baseball is what I'm most passionate about. Losses used to bother me a lot more when I was younger but now at 28 (and after 1/9) I take them in stride.

I've never watched a LSU football game in my house. Always outside on patio because of my screaming. I wish I wasn't like this but it does rule my Saturdays.

Really really did, don't take it near as seriously anymore, you can't or you'll end up always being frustrated

I enjoy it but it's now just the top hobby, that's all
