I’m not doubting what they are accusing, but my wife and I had no trouble. In fact, many Bama fans were welcoming and thanked us for coming. I was actually very surprised by this.

At Galettes, I had at 2 students come up and thank for me coming to their campus. Was not in the LSU section but had no problems whatsoever at the game. Another 3-4 Bama fans told me "good game" afterward. I told each "...we might see you guys again in a few weeks", and they all dismissed it, saying they won't get in.

I was not at the game. However I have been to Tuscaloosa a dozen or more times. For the most part the fans before and after the game very nice.

The Pom Pom crap during the game is pretty offensive.

Actually, it was a great experience. Every Bama fan I met was first class. A lot of “great games” and “go beat Ohio State”. Honestly, I was shocked but the hospitality was off the charts. Good people out there.

Now if you sit in the student section you deserve whatever happens.
I had the same exact experience. Was honestly expecting quite the opposite. I got a " get the frick out of our state" after the game. But that was expected.

What the gumps know but won't talk about is Saban can't win the big 'uns anymore and Auburn still looms this season.

Compared to the last few times I've been to Tuscaloosa, the campus was very quiet before the game and the trash talking was almost non-existent. After the game, lots of congrats, hope you enjoy your time in Tuscaloosa, we still hate y'all but you kicked our arse, etc. We didn't run into many issues.

that's the way it was after the game the last time I went to the swamp, it was so civil and cordial I had to call up a UF alum friend and bitch about it because I was expecting the worst

Buddy of mine went to the game and sat in the Alabama student section. Said he knew he’d get sh*t for being a LSU fan in there student section. But him and few other LSU people he was with were had drinks, nachos, and other stuff thrown at them the whole game. They were also spit on.

Meh, to be expected sitting in the student section. I sat in the Auburn student section in 2006 when the waived off PI call happened at the end of the game. Had full water bottles and chilli dogs hummed at me all game. Not much you can do when you turn around to see who threw that shite and everyone behind you takes credit for it. So I don't advise anyone to sit in the opposing student section wearing visiting colors, especially our student section.

We had a great time and didn’t meet a single person who was legitimately being an a-hole. Some friendly ribbing.

Bama fans are entitled, for a good reason, but they were also very hospitable. I’d go back in a heart beat.

Aside from the photo below I didn’t run into a problem the entire weekend. Received congrats from all kinds of Bama fans after the game.

But this one was too far. Typical, but too far. Do they not remember the 2011 tornado and the lives lost then?

We sat in MM next to the LSU section amongst gumps. Our seats were backed up to the club level section. We had ice thrown on us from the suite levels , luckily a-hole missed and it hit an Alabama fan. Aside from that it was all good and we had a great time.

I only saw stuff getting thrown during the punt return, and Tiger Stadium would have been just as crazy had that happened in Baton Rouge.

The people all around us were very nice and had multiple people congratulate us for the win. Was very pleasantly surprised.

Were you in section JJ? If so, I was the guy that called that douche out. You’re right, he did go crazy. I couldn’t help but laugh at him. Ole boy was taking it way too seriously. I was expecting him to come down and try to start something

LSU fans in section NN, upper rows were bonkers. Where’s the guy in the Jeremy Hill jersey?? That guy made zero Bama friends on the day.

Well Death Valley can be just as bad. Bama had a streak to hang their hat on but let’s be real the LSU game is the one they kinda worrried about every year. I know the iron bowl is 2nd to none but the LSU Bama rivalry when both are legit top 5 teams is just different. 43 NFL players in 2011. That’s every starter and backup. This year they didn’t have that much talent overall but they had two of the best QBs battle it out. And Joe won. It was special to watch. LSU and Bama have never had two 1st round talents / Heisman Contenders At qb fo head to head. It was fun to watch

That sign is pathetic. First, somebody thought it was clever enough to actually write it down. Then, they couldn’t remember how to make hurricane symbols, so they just let their pre-schooler draw, uh, seashells I guess.

I didn't get to go to this game, but I am been to games in Tuscaloosa in the past. If given a choice for a road trip to Bama, Auburn, or Florida, I would take Bama every day of the week and twice on Sunday. For all the inbreeding/sibling sex jokes we tell about them (many of which are probably true) and all the shite-talking that goes on on message boards, their fanbase as a whole are WAY more classy in person than Auburn and Florida.

My daughter and I were in section L, surrounded by a sea of red fans. It was pretty civil. I let some of them use my binocs to look at The Donald and Melania so we sort of made friends. They took pictures for us. We talked and bantered during the game but it was friendly. Most of them were a little uptight, I think they knew deep down inside what was going to happen. We had mobile tickets, at the end of the game a guy gave us his ticket stubs so we would have souvenir stubs and another guy gave us his souvenir drink cups and wished us well, it was a positive experience.

I find the big difference is, if you are dealing with fans who have ever actually been inside a classroom at U of A, they are pretty reasonable. And they dislike the redneck idiot Alabama fans just as much as we do. It's pretty much the same at most places I suspect.
