Win tomorrow + a couple in SECT & don’t see how Tigers don’t host.

‘Need’ is the key word in your question. We needed 2 of three here. A sweep would be sweet.

Win tomorrow and we probably host without winning a game in Hoover. You'd still want to get 1, to be sure, but 17 SEC wins should be fine.

Lose tomorrow, and we probably need a couple of wins in Hoover to host.

We should be set up nicely for tomorrow, but Vandy will put up more of a fight. We should also be set up nicely for Tuesday or Wednesday, too.

ETA: Gotta keep winning to move up the seed line. I really don't want to be the 15 or 16 host.

It would really help us if UK beats AU tomorrow.

I keep seeing this but if we win and auburn loses tomorrow (both finish 17-13) don’t they still get the 4 seed (and LSU the 5 seed)at Hoover due to the tie breaking head to head series win against us?

Auburn would only have 16 wins.

We’re definitely back in the conversation to host already. I want the win tomorrow though plus an Auburn loss just because I feel that guarantees a host bid for us.

That’d be a top 4 finish in the SEC, a good RPI and will even get an extra days rest in the SECt.

In SEC play, LSU is 7-8 at home and 9-5 away and could be 10-5 after tomorrow.

I'm not sure going elsewhere to play is a bad thing with this team.

If we host there is no doubt we will be paired with the Knoxville regional.

If the magic number for the regular season is 17. which we have been hearing for weeks, then tomorrow's game is huge.

It sure didn't prove so last year. The Tigers seemed very comfortable in the cool weather out in Eugene.

Where have you been hearing 17 is the magic number to host? Actually if LSU hadn't been swept by Ole Miss, 17 SEC wins probably would've put LSU close to a top 8 seed. 16 SEC wins is probably enough to host a regional, it'll just put you on the lower end of the top 16 seeds.
