Talk about a high pressure situation. Kid showed a lot of moxy and gave us a chance.

Also hell of job buy Hilliard, Tre and Crews.

Tre and Crews struggled in the middle innings but when it was nut-cutting time they showed up and showed out.

That was really big. There was a play at the plate, on a grounder that saved him, but first and third with no outs…… how many times does that not work against us ……impressive….

There was 1 out. He K'd up the first out if I'm not mistaken. And I'm pretty sure it was runners on 2nd and 3rd

Yes it was a great play by Doughty and Travenski, no doubt. Built it was a 3-2 count the batter was sitting fastball and Reyzelman through a great breaking pitch and induced that ground ball to give Doughty the chance.

I'm so impressed by his composure when the entire stadium started counting when he was doing his little 5 step stretch thing.

All of kids would have lost their cool.

But with the bases juiced and the game on the line he struck that motherfricker out.

He controlled that curve well. Id like to see him throw it more.

Man his fastball plays up too.

If he could control that breaking ball and keep it in the bottom of the zone it could be absolutely brutal with that 94/95 heat at the letters. He threw another pitch that kind of looked like a change up that was high 80's. I'm not sure if it was a 2 seamer but if he can develop a 3rd pitch just to keep the batter on their toes then he's absolutely got weekend starter stuff.

I sae it, it was 89 mph. Being only 5-7mph off from his fastball, i didnt think it was a change, but it didnt move much, so i wasnt sure. Thought maybe it was a cutter that didnt cut

Me too man. I heard the broadcaster say change and my immediate thought was damn that's a fast change up.

I agree with you, I think it was a cutter or a 2seamer that just didn't have movement. Honestly I don't know if he needs another pitch with a ton of movement. He just needs something to disrupt the timing. His breaking ball had very good break and he didn't hang any.

If he could add a 3rd off speed, then that 95 mph 4 seam becomes devastating

That was one of the highlights of the season for me so far. And with that crowd f’n with him so bad, it had to make that moment even so much sweeter for him. To keep that composure was so impressive. I imagine we see him again this series since he only pitched that inning.

He was awesome. Good movement on his FB and actually threw some off speed. His foot tapping drives me nuts but I’m seeing more guys do it now.

It was a team effort for sure but pitching is the key that unlocks the wins. This bullpen is shaping up nicely. The new guys are getting it done. And. HOW ABOUT NO ERRORS!!!!

Reyzelman was great, but was he tipping his pitches with the number of toe taps?

I thought it was fun that the MSU crowd was counting his toe taps aloud. He now has to start screwing with the subsequent crowds who will do the same.

No. He tapped 4,5 and 6 times on fast balls. I can't recall what he threw with the 3 tapper that one time.

I will gladly give props to the young man! I criticized earlier in the year that our pitchers didn’t have a second pitch and he mixed in a curve and maybe even tired a change up last night. It was a big time performance that hopefully sling shots us to the post season.

He could’ve ran through a brick wall after that 3rd out! Love that

He was fired up at the bottom of the eighth. Bats came out after that.
