I already know whats going to happen.

Bama's current OC is going to get a head coaching job and they'll pick Briles up. Watch it happen.

Remember when everyone said Saban would never embrace those modern high scoring offenses? Well, great coaches adapt, and he saw the writing on the wall. Miles stayed married to his old school system, while Saban just blew right by him. Looks like Orgeron might be stuck in the same mindset as Miles.

Look at Houstons schedule.
Roger...

Just don't. We know you love SE and you don't want O to have to admit that he failed again at hiring an OC.

He doesn't have to admit anything. We can have our cake and eat it too. There's no need to make yourself look bad.

In Kendall Briles' first year?

Ive said it 100 times, he and his father run the precise offense that is tailored to the athletes that we have in Louisiana... It is a spread offense with a power run game, (Counters, etc) We have the WR's, RB's and lineman to run this system.. All you need is an accurate QB, you dont even have to have a big arm. Just accuracy... its mostly timing routes with one read... Its why 75% of texas high schools run that system, its extremely difficult to defend... Hell I saw Bama run half of it saturday... spread the field and pound the ball up the middle with your RB vs one LB, i like my chances... Our WR's would have a field day with this offense..

Yeah schedule has NOTHING to do with it, did Houston play a significantly more difficult schedule last year when they were 65th?
You show people a turnaround and they bring up competition like that was any different the year before.

And Auburn will pick up Freeze. While we're sitting here with a 100th ranked offense run by a reluctant old man.

This is a very good point. Mike Locksley very well may be the next coach at Maryland. And Major Applewhite, Houston head coach, was Sabans first OC at Alabama, so there’s a connection.

So, you believe that Houston's offense would be ranked as high if they played our schedule?

Including a 1-5 record at Maryland

Why the frick would they bring him back?

I think People understand this may work at Bama but I wouldnt Go near him as some kinda of program savior.
