Nearly everything is already sold out around downtown. Never seen it like that this early. Cirque Du Solei is at the Toyota center. Farmers have a conference at the convention center. But neither of those should be filling up every single room for Friday night. Anyone else seeing this? Sugggestions?

Houston Rodeo going on, that's probably why the hotels are so full and expensive.

I checked back in November for hotel rooms and it was ridiculously pricey. Only option is to find somewhere a little further away.
Definitely must be a combination of all of it.
They used to be more reasonable for this tourney but I guess when they see LSU is in it they up the rates.

Get a big cardboard box from a dumpster and set up shop on the sidewalk around the Greyhound bus station. You'll fit right in baw.

Were staying at the doubletree by Hilton Houston medical center, looks likes they have rooms.

We have always stayed downtown. Pickens are very slim. Every year we’ve gone we’ve been able to walk to the park.

Yeah it's pretty nice being able to walk over to Minute Maid and leave your vehicle in secure parking at the hotel. Use caution parking in the lots surrounding the stadium and leave no valuables visible inside.

We normally stay in the Hampton inn / Homewood suites that are in the same building about a block away, but my buddy whose driving this time picked the hotel by the medical center... oh well.

Yeah it was crazy high when I was booking a month or so ago. I ended up going the AirBnB route as well. I got a place near Toyota Center.

My AirBnB had great reviews and was $420 bucks cheaper than a hotel for the days. I’m a 1/2 mile from the stadium. Just a thought

Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States. No way it’s completely sold out. Minute Maid and the Toyota center are in close proximity. May have to venture out a bit and Uber.

Just curious if that included the cleaning and other fees?

Just booked one at the Double Tree in Greenway Plaza. Took a good bit of points but they had availabilities.

Yeah. All included. My hotel stay was going to be $830 for the series. $410 will work for me with a 1/2 mile walk or Uber. I stopped getting hotels in major cities with the inflation. Airbnb is good if you get it in advance
