Quarterman was just not ready. Playing him hurt us in spots...

They lost because they can't shoot free throws worth two shits.

True, as well as those four straight possessions where we didn't get shite, but you are lying to yourself if you say that the refs were honestly not a factor.

Well, this team has fight, no one can deny that

Need to work on free throw shooting, but once we adapt to these new rules we'll be a great team

1) Refs were God awful

2) Free throw shooting was garbage

3) Played w/o JOB most of the 2nd half

4) Jarrell Martin was injured in the 1st minute

Combination of any 2 of these factors go our way we win by 10

I love this team but it's gonna be tough to win games if we're leaving 10 points at the line. I understand not shooting 100% from the stripe but if we make half of those misses we win.

For LSU to lose this game by 2 on the road without Martin is a win.

You mean a loss?

A couple of made FTs and this game is a different outcome.

Yep. Gotta work on those, especially since this year will be foul calls a-plenty. A good free-throw-shooting team is a dangerous one.

No kidding. Anyone suggesting he's better than Hickey right now is nuts.

That's about a happy as I could possibly be after a loss. Our boys played their asses off, overcame a ton of adversity and almost pulled it out. JOB got absolutely shite on by the refs and one of our best offensive players was basically out the whole game. This will be a great year for this team.

+1

Looks like the team is able to adapt. 19 fouls in the 1st half, 10 in the 2nd. I like the ability to adjust.

What damn difference does that make? That actually probably helps my point. Maybe with him we would have been the better team. From what I watched we probably weren't the better team right now.

Down the line we probably will be. We need to finish and shoot free throws better.

Sure but we had our free throw chances. We had out open looks. JOB can't shoot outside a 5 ft circle. Nobody else besides Hickey and Stringer can shoot past the free throw line.

they didnt adjust that much. the refs just stopped being retarded with every little thing. except of course for the biggest call in the game. JOB's 4th foul for standing within 2 feet of someone.
