I have been a proponent for LSU in every game this year making the argument for a W. But this is almost an impossible ask for Wade and LSU. I know these guys are 18-19-20 but you simply cannot win without ANY bench.

I never like to bet on anything that I haven't seen before, so this NEW LSU Bench Mob is going to have to show me something first. This is the season for OM if they want to even compete in the SEC they are 0-3 and not nearly as bad as Vandy!

There are 0 guaranteed wins on our schedule with this Bench and no matter how we play, this will catch up sooner or later. These next 6 games including a Roadie to Texas, 3-3 would be OK and 4-2 would be awesome!!!

I just think this is a HORRIBLE spot for LSU on Saturday for LSU and I hope the Fab 5 can deliver a Win, but I just don't see it Can't imagine LSU is favored, but if they are, I might change my opinion, but I think OM will be a 2 point favorite!

No need to panic about it yet Tbird

We will see how Wade and this current team responses to some adversary. The TAMU game was always gonna be a nail biter, look at what they did against a dogshite mizzou team last year. I suspect a similar thing tomorrow

Good news is Watford may be getting it all figured out and Darius Days can't stay in a shooting funk for much longer.

Manning and Taylor being out is huge on the defensive side. They are our best perimeter defenders.

It's not as if this has been an incredibly deep team all year. Even prior to Manning's injury LSU was only playing an 8 man rotation (sometimes 7). Wade has already said that Taylor is good to go tomorrow (though for how long we don't know). This just means that Hyatt is going to have to play significantly more minutes than he has been playing. And though this may come as a surprise, he's been a better rebounder than Manning (%-wise).

There is no question that losing Manning hurts and that Wade is going to have to manipulate the rotation because of it. But this isn't the NBA. There are no back to back nights. Is it ideal to only have about a 7 man rotation? Of course not. But there have been good teams who had short benches. And there aren't any real "juggarnauts" on the schedule until you go to Auburn. Hell, just go back to last season when Waters went out. in the final 4 games of the season Smart & Mays played nearly 40 minutes per game and LSU won all 4.

Again, it's not ideal. But I don't think it's quite the death knell you've made it out to be. Particularly against a conf. that doesn't appear to have a ton of great teams. And the VAST majority of the production was coming from the 5 starters anyway (even before Manning went down)

A short bench doesn't hurt you, its when that short bench isn't filled with quality players. Not saying Hyatt, Graves, Cooper and Bishop won't provide some quality minutes. Just saying, LSU doesn't have a lot of quality depth. Cooper and Graves aren't SEC level talents and Bishop and Hyatt aren't polished yet.

The lose of Manning and having a rusty Marlon could hurt pretty bad over the next couple weeks. Hopefully we can get Marlon up to speed and see him mold back into last years self.

My biggest fear is having a big (Williams, Days, Watford) get into foul trouble. One thing Marlon and Manning do well is play long and athletic, they can rebound and defend multiple positions. Wade likes to pressure with those guys on the court. It will be interesting to see who he brings in off the bench if our bigs get into foul trouble.

Alt- and Geaux-

I think we are all in agreement on the Bench. You both make solid points and I think are bench quality was already thin, now it is anorexic!

BTW, How Bad am I at guessing lines as someone who does this ALOT and way to much! LSU -5 Geez

I gotta take OM +5 I mean that is as juicy of a line as there is. Not sure Vegas understands our bench. So unless Taylor goes back to 2019 Taylor, I dont see how LSU can get this number Saturday in Oxford!

My big fear is that somewhere down the line, someone is going to slow it down and play a zone against us. Add in few turnovers and they just discovered how to beat LSU. If we have to beat someone from three we are in trouble. Long rebounds off of missed three's also negate our offensive rebounding to some extent. Don't know if anyone in the SEC can play that style but it will be rough if they do it well.

Bronco-

If you play zone vs LSU you will get destroyed inside and on the glass unless you have a monster inside and them I would expect him to get in some foul trouble.

I don't think people understand how much offensive rebounding means in CBB. I continue to contend that if Days get his arse in the paint, we are a much better team.

But right now, it almost has to be a slow down tempo fro LSU with lack of guard depth. Matchup issues for us are gonna be Auburn (road) UK and prob a team like South Carolina and Miss State.

To be honest, i don't know that much about Florida, they are just one of these teams I haven't seen too often

Auburn losing today is beautiful. If Arkansas can beat Kentucky and we win then we are sitting pretty through the first 5 conference games.

HUGE game today!!

Does anyone know the status of Sy and Ty(ree) for OM today? I assume both are playing as the line dropped from -5 to -4

Man, CBB is really hard to get injury/suspension news from a gambling aspect. Usually the Clarion-Ledger has updates but nothing today

This is a HUGE game for the OM season. A road win here by LSU with bench issues would be enormous. I just don't see it if a full OM squad is out there.

Look what KSTATE did today vs ranked WVA. very similar situation to OM

Another ? (I think i know the answer) but why is LSU the single WORST home crowd in the SEC Maybe Vandy because of that stupid gym, but can you think of an easier place to play...I deem Texas to be just as shitty.

Arky has NO chance to win today and their crowd is electric early
Florida was great
Even SC was fun the other night vs UK

Any ideas to ramp up the crowds? Free cocaine, hookers, gumbo, ?

Ole Piss being 0-4 and hungry for a win worries me as well as Manning being out and Taylor still not 100%. They are our two best defenders and Tyree been filling it up lately.

It's a game we should win but road games are usually tough, especially missing a key piece and having another key piece still not back on track.

I see this going down to the wire, hoping we can pull it out. Geaux Tigers!!
