Because he was never beating Bama again, and the offense was never going to change. It was 100% the right choice.
Have any of you fricktards been paying attention since he was fired?

some how people think talented head coaches grow on trees.
LINK
"Miles had a record of 114-34 (.770) with the Tigers. If you're looking for context of how good that is, consider that a career record of .600 makes a coach eligible for the College Football Hall of Fame. Consider that it's better than the record of his predecessor, Nick Saban (48-16, .750). Or just consider this: Miles began this season as one of five active head coaches who had won a national championship."
"There is no guarantee that firing someone as successful as Miles will result in a better program. It's just as possible that LSU won't be able to hire a coach as successful as Miles. There's a long list of schools that got rid of someone who was winning and got worse.
Nebraska has gone 19 years since its national championship. More to this point, it has gone 17 years without a conference championship.
Michigan, which has won more football games than any program anywhere, hasn't won the Big Ten championship in 12 years.
Syracuse fired Paul Pasqualoni in 2004 after he had one losing record in 14 seasons. The Orange have had nine losing seasons since."

So who is hiring Orgeron if he is fired? Who is hiring Steve Ensminger if he is fired?

True, but in light of where we are now, why the frick did we fire him?
The O-pumpers tell us that 9-3 under Orgeron is fantastic and that Alabama is soooo superior to us that even a great coach like Orgeron isn’t to blame and we just better get happy with O and accept never beating the gumps again.
BOTH of those were unacceptable for Miles and he was (rightfully) fired.
Do tell me—why is all that now just perfectly fine with O?
If just pretty-good results are fine now, I’d have rather kept Miles. He has a helluva lot better personality than O and recruited better. There was at least a chance that he’d put together a 2011 season maybe once a decade.
So I ask again, in light of what we are told is perfectly fine now and we have to accept with Orgeron ...
Why the frick did we fire Miles?

I forgot where I said those were good hires.

Because of games like last night

And please stop. There’s a reason he had the record he had here.

Hey, dunce, he asked why Les was fired. Sure, there was an implication about who was hired after, but the fact remains that it was time for Les to go.
Do you disagree?

Because it was beyond time to. The question is why did we hire this moron as head coach

At lease he beat Alabama three times, have leads on them, and average more than three points in three defeats.

It's only 100% the right choice if doing so improves the program. It hasn't and we spent more money to have the same or less productive team.
Anyone who watched the LSU effort last night and didn't come away saying what the frick is going on has their head in the sand.

Totally agree w all of that.
I only answered WHY Les was fired. The real question is "Why was O hired", not "why was Les fired".

Well no shite, Sherlock.

Yes, because I’m capable of simultaneously grasping more than one thought. Part of deciding it’s time for someone to go is knowing what will come next.
Posted on 11/4/18 at 11:38 am to Lsu4lifer
Lousy offense, inability to beat the gumps.

So try to think ahead a little. I bet you’re awesome at strategic thinking.

Because after a certain amount of years he wouldnt adapt. Surely you didn't think the sole reason was beating Alabama

And how in the hell did you know who was coming next? Herman was the name constantly brought up at the time.
Were you against hiring Herman if Les was fired?
