Bama -> Will be better
Tenn -> Will be better
Ark -> Will be better
Auburn -> Won't be as good
Miss State -> This we own them talk needs to end, they are on the rise. Beat UF this year, played Auburn closer than us, and our victory over them was early and turnovers played a huge roll. Will be better.
Florida -> Could be very scary very quick, I think they win the SEC first year under Muschamp, because of Weis and the talent that's already there.
USC -> No clue. Latimore is coming back. They could be good.
Kentucky -> Who cares, but they seem to beat us even when we are making a run at the NC.
Georgia -> Ofcourse they are going to be better...

LSU => ? We finished 10-2 this year, with some clutch wins over teams that will have the advantage over us next year...

Do we have a shot at the SECW? Im not worried about PP7 leaving, but our LB core seems to be mediocre without Shep.

maybe... losing your best WR, QB, and RB will sting.

LSU should be better next year. If LSU doesn't have a BCS bowl type of season next year, and compete for the SEC something went wrong. Only team that could possibly be more talented will be Alabama.

LSU will depend on Chavis staying (assuming rumors are false) and Crowton leaving

Yup, but talent wise LSU should be as good or better. Expectations should be higher, though I certainly don't know if that will translate to more wins on the field.

The talent that's there on offense is overrated. Unless somebody rapidly develops in the offseason they've got nothing special at RB, WR, or QB and Brantley may be transferring.

LSU has had more or equal talent to every team they have played over the past 8-10 years though. Talent can only take you so far, you need that coaching to put you over. Chavis has been a good defensive hire (Better than I thought) and Crowton has really sucked past 3 seasons.

If Crowton is gone, LSU should be favored to win the West. It's a tough schedule next year, no doubt...but if we can find any kind of consistent play at QB, LSU is the best team in the West......Bama will be good as usual, MS State will be a huge challenge...those are the two biggest hurdles imho...Auburn will suck, Ole Miss will have got back to their usual loser selves, I don't see anything special from the pigs.....nope...talent wise, LSU is in good shape next year. Let's see how the coaching change thingy comes to pass......

Did you see that back up QB vs Auburn... looks like he will be good along with their RB getting better.... If the defense ever improves they could be better

I think LSU has a lot of young talent that will make it not only a talented team next year, but a very experienced and mature team as well. HOw that works out, who knows. But they certainly should be sitting pretty should the pieces fall in place.

I can see UF winning the East easily, but don't expect them to win the SEC title game.

I think we'll finish 3rd in the west. Many will be completely satisfied.

Just because folk aren't calling for Les Miles termination doesn't mean folk are completely satisfied. But, Les Miles in general doesn't have any margin for error with alot of LSU fans. Anything less than a perfect season and some folk are going to want him on a plane yesterday because they don't want him here to begin with.

you need to realize and reflect on how important QB's are

Bama looses McElroy
Arky looses Mallett
Auburn looses Cam
Ole Miss looses Misoli

Out of the SEC-West, only Moo State has a returning QB, and the others are having to replace very successful/experienences Qb's

Florida's offense is problematic still with the3-headed qb system

You really need to factor this into you analysis.

JJ will be somewhat better, and Mett may just play and be a lot better than JJ can offer, and don't rule out Shep moving back into a part time wildcat Qb role.

LSU is poised for 2011, my man.

The SEC West is prime for the taking

I think with the schedule the way it is that 10 wins will be a damn strong finish. I see it as:

close, close loss to Oregon in Dallas.
close wins in Morgantown and Knoxville
sturdy wins over Auburn and UF at home.
loss to Bama
win over Arkansas
hate to say...State finally ends their losing streak.
We shall '05 Ole Piss.

I say 9-3 and 6-2 in SEC. Cap One Bowl vs. Nebraska.

McElroy was a first year starter last year when they won the MNC.
Cam newton is a first year starter this year for Auburn.
McElroy's backup was a very prestigious recruit and has already proved himself to possibly be yet another upgrade at qb just as McElroy was over JPW.
Arky's backup has already proven himself on the field in SEC competition as well.

Overall, the qb argument is simply retarded. Auburn and Ole miss will suffer losses at qb, but Bama and Arkansas, no way. If you've spent any Saturdays this year watching college football in general and not just getting smashed at a tailgate prior to the LSU games you'd know that. Or perhaps if you read about other teams. Everything that we've seen from both Bama and Ark qbs suggests that they won't miss a step with new guys in next year. (like i said bama already won a mnc with a first year starter)

The UF argument. Once again, perhaps you should read some more before posting.

Weis is coming in at OC at UF, and they'll run a pro style offense suited around Brantley, who is a great qb in the right system. UF suffered the same mistake as LSU.... recruited a prostyle qb for a spread... and then tried to keep running the spread... unlike LSU, its only taking UF one year to change their offense around their QB's strengths. Brantley will be the starter next year, and you'll see UF's talent line up and come right at offenses instead of trying the gimmicky options of the last several years.

LSU's qb problem was the opposite in going after a dual threat like RS when we spend most of our time running pro-style type plays (atleast before this year's read-option attempts)

If we were running read options, our QBs must have been illiterate.

Slight favorite to win it and compete for the MNC if we change OC's
