10-2, I just don't think that some of these programs like Tennessee, ole Miss, etc. Have caught up to the best programs in the conference yet and that will be reinforced with a disciplined head coach

My heart says 10-2 but looking at the schedule my head is thinking 7-5 or 8-4. Gun to my head I'd say 8-4. We are going to be better than a lot of folks expect. The West is going to be really difficult this year plus Tennessee and Florida.

How about we try to not play this stupid expectation game. I assume you have season tickets and attend or at least watch every game. How about we just go into each game and root for the Tigers on every play. We will win some and we might lose some. But this ridiculous exercise of making up a final record and then being disappointed and mad at the team when they don’t meet your standard is dumb.

It’s the off-season bro. If you don’t like the thread then don’t read it

Offense- We don't know who the qb or oline is. We are weak and thin at te. None of the rbs have been big contributors at all (although extremely talented and should be deep this yr).
Defense - lb depth of proven contributors , cb health and meshing 4 new secondary starters, along with 2 new coordinators and playbooks.
7-5 would be solid , and anything better would be a great season. We had like 38 players 6 months ago. Kelly has done great rebuilding the roster, and is now rolling with his first class. Any improvement from the last 2 yrs, not even record wise, will be seen as big improvement. More consistent qb play, pls sweet baby Jesus better oline play, and not having 1 healthy scholarship rb in games. I forgot having 2 walkon cbs playing serious reps against bama as well.
There's a ton of unknown and depth/ health concerns. It all depends if we stay healthy, and how the coordinators and players mesh and come together.

I saw the title and thought it would be ok to give my two cents. I hope we win them all.

What are we thinking? General 8-4/9-3 kind of year? 6-6? Natty?
Here watch this quick YouTube video of Nuss. Start at the 19 minute mark, then watch to the end.
LINK
Notice Nuss' perfect mechanics. Notice how quickly he gets the ball out of his hands. Notice how he distributes the football to all the different receivers. Notice all of those next level NFL throws he makes.
He sure in the hell doesn't look like a true freshman still wet behind the ears out there. Instead, he looks like he is a future first rounder with elite arm talent and sort of like Joe Burrow.
Now imagine LSU with an improved offensive line in 2022, with Nuss playing QB as good as he did above, with Kayshon Boutte, Jack Bech, and Malik Nabers catching Nuss' next level throws out in space, and with former five-star John Emery toting the rock. Who will be able to stop LSU's high powered offense in 2022? No one!

9-3 easy, could be better depending on how the Oline comes along.

I’m thinking a natty every year

8-4 and we get better as the season progresses. I am not as sold on the front 7 as most. Tons of potential, but none of these guys have been consistently good, much less great. Secondary is a complete unknown.
OL, Qb and Rb are all questions marks.

Kinda like $aban’s first year, then lookout next year.

8-4 the floor, 10-2 the ceiling

I’ll repeat the same thing I say when this weekly thread pops up.
Lame duck Ed O, with a complete train wreck of a coaching staff and half a roster won 6 games.
BK and the new staff alone should get us 2 wins better.
So…
7-5 is concerning
8-4 is a realistic expectation
9-3 not out of the question but would be ahead of schedule
10-2 SEC is on notice

If we can reestablish the floor being 8 wins for this program, I’ll be happy

You know, if this sort of things pits sand in your vagina, you don’t actually have to read the threads or even visit the site.

Honest expectations for 2022
1. Stadium half empty after half in nearly every game.
2. Fatties complaining about concessions.
3. Half wits demanding Neck.

I’m hoping for 10 wins with a Bowl game included, 9-3 regular season would be fine, 10-2 outstanding first year, regardless we will PLAY better every game than at anytime in the last decade except the outlier that was 2019. This year is a huge ?mark , but we have the right coach and staff to bring us back into the elite level of college football, NDIMM
