Are you actually autistic? If so, go for it. If not, maybe find another way to commemorate moon shots

I’m absolutely autistic

I have a grandson (almost 10), and my wife has a nephew (10) who is autistic. The nephew is not likely ever to be able to live on his own. My grandson might be able to.

I am hoping one day I can live on my own
I work and I drive myself places including lsu games
ETA:Not being able to Live on my own is more for financial reasons then ability reasons
Eta2:if your family needs support, contact families helping families of GBR or the once closest to your area! I am currently a self advocate board member for the GBR one

I have an engineering degree, sooo...
I'm convinced most engineers are at least spectrum adjacent.

Hell yea brother!
Maybe next season we can also get a list of strikeouts by our pitchers along with the HR lists you put out. Don't let the haters get to you. Hope all is well.

Give it some time. Don't rush any decisions. If you can find the right people, they will give you opportunities. I know a young man in the Lafayette area who was flourishing on his own the last time I spoke with him.

They don't give engineers a degree unless they first pass the test for having autism.

Both my daughter and my sister-in-law keep on top of that, and both take advantage of whatever help is available to them.
And good for you taking the initiative to help others.

It’s almost like I was in the middle of an SNL skit.

Families Helping Families is an absolute blessing for families who are trying to find the best ways to help their children who have been diagnosed with autism or any other developmental disability. Thank you for being an advocate in that organization. An advocate from Families Helping Families was a tremendous help to us almost thirty years ago.
