We could possibly have a better team and a worse record.

When will LSU be EXPECTED to compete for SEC titles ?
Looking ahead and knowing what you know currently , when would that EXPECTED ?
With a better team , as you say , I would EXPECT a better record.
Keep in mind how Georgia looked Saturday and what Miami will be next year after losing their talent too....

We may go 1-3 in those games and that's honestly the best case scenario. Another down year here we come!

wait a minute, yes it does. It has been old for years. Wipe your vag and hit the door.

Never gets old how positive you guys get every year just to be let down

Closest I can think of is Auburn this year. Bama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Miss St. 5 ranked teams with 3 that will likely finish top 10.
I love to think how we've basically ruined Auburn's season this year.

The Miami game should be in Tiger Stadium. Joe, stop selling out your season ticket holders for the networks.

Figured the SEC office in Bama would throw Georgia our way as soon as they got good again. I thought Herb was going to stop that fast track scheduling. I guess Bama gets Vandy.

Georgia doesn't scare me.
I'm more worried about Miami in the opener than any game on the schedule.
They also lose Chubb and Michael at RB

Feel like we’ve played at Florida for like 4 years in a row now. Thanks Alleva
Except they were in Tiger Stadium 359 days ago.

Tell me, when will you folks will be prepared to say that LSU is EXPECTED to win and compete for titles?
LSU's defense will be nasty again, but we're going to have very little experience coming back at QB, RB and WR. The good news is both lines should be stout.
I think we have a fighter's chance to open the season with Miami, but Auburn on the road is always a bitch for us.
After that, only Bama is worrisome.
If we had more experience at the skill positions, then I'd say punch the ticket to the playoffs. Hopefully Brennan and/or Narcisse can get some snaps in these last two games (v. Tennessee at the very least).

Can we stop having a BYE before Alabama? Schedule a damn cup cake that week and have the BYE somewhere else

It's going to be fun.

So , 2019?
Do we return to high expectations that year? Or will LSU be losing too much on the defensive side at that point ?
2020? 2021?
When will the perfect roster be in play to have the corresponding championship expectations?

Well in defense of Sid, for you to say that 1-3 is best case scenario for those four games is downright fricking idiotic. GFY!!!

Oh really? What makes you say that?
Miami - Could possibly be in the playoffs this year and has a very good coach.
Auburn - Probably our only win here because somehow we have their number quite often. But, you can never count Auburn out, as they have strong O-line and D-line every year.
Bama - We will never beat Bama until we get a legit coach. Edward Orgeron is not getting the job done against Bama.
Georgia - Have a better offense, QB, O-line, and D-line than us, and you think we will beat them?

So exactly how are we not going 1-3 at best? What do you think smart guy?

Kind of reminds me of 2011. Had some good SEC teams as always, plus we had Oregon and West Virginia.
In 2011 LSU had two quarterbacks with significant experience returning.

We could play well and still easily be 3-2 in September, then face that murderous late October/early November. If O gets through this with less than three losses, they ought to go ahead and build the statue.
That shaking sensation you all feel isn't an earthquake - it's from the goal posts being moved

Well I didn’t definitvely say that we won’t go 1-3. We just might. However you definitively said there is no way we can win even just two of those games. I’ll say it again, for you to say that 1-3 is best case scenario is downright fricking idiotic. I assume you understand what “best case scenario” means. Do you? Or am I giving you too much credit?
And you say “we”, so I guess you’re claiming to be an LSU fan. So I’ll say this again too... Go frick yourself.

3 National Championship appearances in the past 15 years and you want to build a statue because we went 10-2 in an SEC schedule with a neutral site Miami game? We have fallen so far as a fan base.
