Hire Kris Richard(a Pete Carroll disciple) if the DC position becomes available.

Kris Richard was just let go by the Dallas Cowboys. He has ties to Pete Carroll, and so does Coach O. Pete Carroll's defenses have always been stout at USC and in the NFL. Plus let the Cowboys pay some of his salary while he's at LSU.

Would make sense with his relationship to Coach O (this is an assumption more than anything). The question would be if he’d keep Raymond on staff? Busch is gonna go with Aranda most likely.

Richard was considered a rising star and future DC in the NFL. I think it would be worth a look. My only concern is if he comes here and does well he could be 1 and done and back to the NFL.
I like Shoop because of his development of great DL. We have great DB coaches and if he can coach up the DL we would be unstoppable on defense.

If the NFL came calling after one season it would be because he had a top 5 defense. Seems like a reasonable trade

frick NO!! As a cowboys fan I’m glad that dude is no longer with the cowboys. Our defense went from one of the tops in the whole league under marinelli to hit garbage under Richard. Do NOT want!

Your secondary was ranked 9 and 11 the past two years and it’s not like you had the best talent in the world. Cowboys D Line sucked dick besides Demarcus Lawrence.
