If Saban tells Woodward that he would not hesitate to recommend that Napier replace him at Alabama when he retired then he’s your new LSU coach.

Can you cite some examples of this? I sort of watch them whenever they're on TV and haven't noticed anything egregious.

Then add Luke Fickell to that stupid list

He's been an interim coach for a good stint in the power five.

When he goes to a bigger program, he needs to relinquish play call duties and bring in an OC.

That would be only concern. Besides that, he checks pretty much every box.

Name any G5 coach that immediately jumped to a perennial top 20 P5 with success?

They underperformed in the majority of the games they played.

Saban also recommended Huston Nutt replace him to LSU when he went to Miami

I mean they have in some, not arguing that, but I don’t think you go 25-5 in the last 30 games at ULL by underperforming in the majority of your games.

Doesn’t matter what people think Scott Woodward is 100 times ahead of everyone!

Saban wanted nothing more than for LSU to hire Nutt.

You are right. I’m just trying to throw in some criticism. He’s done great at ULL, I just really wonder if he has what it takes to be the coach at LSU.

I hear that. I’m on the record that I don’t think he’ll be the guy. But I think he’s going to do very well wherever he ends up. How well? I don’t know, but I’d be shocked if he flops somewhere.

Because they are the little school from down the road

Bama is not hiring Troy St coach when Saban leaves

Georgia isnt hiring Georgia States coach

Clemson isnt hiring Coastal Carolina coach

Florida isnt hiring South Floridas coach

Michigan isnt hiring Central Michigans coach

That’s a dumb reason not to hire someone if they are good coach.

Cajun fans would be conflicted. They couldn’t use lsu national title as a moral victory like if he went to another big school and won

Statistically they don't pan out

Name a a G5 coach that had any type of success jumping to an immediate perennial P5 program?

I'll hang up and listen.

We have officially lost our minds. LSU is now settling on a USL Sunbelt coach.

Please Woodward, save us from our own fan insanity.
