Hey remember 2018 when we finished 10-3?

Not a bad year.

I remember we finished 54th in total offense. Much improved over the Matt Canada debacle.

I remember 2019 too. Where we finished ranked 1st in total offense, went undefeated, and won the national championship.

Good times. So much growth from 2018 to 2019. Also a way different looking offense. I wonder what happened.

Our QB got his clock cleaned in the Fiesta Bowl and was resurrected in the apotheosis of god emperor Joe Burrow

Didn't throw a TD pass in the month of October. How is that even possible?

I had somehow completely erased this era from my mind until now

We were 69th in YPG in 2017
We were 54th in YPG in 2018

We scored more in 2018 because we had a great kicker and we played a 7 OT game

E scored less TDS in regulation than Canada.

The best thing that happened to that Offense was a 7 OT loss that added 41 points to our PPG

Didn’t burrow show up one week before fall practice also though?

A lot different than being there for spring and the famed summer of 1000 catches

I think it was more Joey B than the OC

Matt Canada is the Pittsburgh Steelers OC. Joe Brady is currently unemployed. Weird how that works.

Burrow had a full year with the team instead of jumping in right before the season . Plus a year of maturity didn’t hurt

Did I miss Carolina firing Brady? I wish Kelly would hire him back at LSU at our OC. The guy is real deal imho.

It took Burrow several games to get used to playing under center in 2018. He didn’t do that through high school or at OSU. That was a huge adjustment and it didn’t work to maximize his strengths.

The move to the spread out of the shotgun as our base offense was step 1 in transforming the offense in 2019. I love Burrow as much as anyone here, but that wasn’t his call. It was E and Brady’s. Without that move, 2019 is just a better version of 2018 with another NY6 bowl appearance.
