The ACC is a basketball conference, always has been. Fun fact: Clemson has never won in Chapel Hill in basketball, and nearly lost this year in football.

Something interesting was said in the Stanford Steve and Bear podcast. SS said he saw Kevin Wilson and Brent Venables talking in the tunnel after the game.

They were both exhausted and Wilson said please tell me you threw everything you had and Venables responded he threw the kitchen sink and didn’t have anything left.

Venables is a great DC and will come up with some new tricks but he had to show his best stuff against Ohio st and LSU played base. I think this gives Burrow and LSU a big advantage.

oh by the way we're ranked 2nd with 398 ypg.

It’s only 398 because the field is only 100 yards long. Could be more lol.

That's a big reason why getting the #1 seed was huge. There was a clear top 3 this year, and having to show everything in the semifinal will be a disadvantage in the championship game, as opposed to having most of the second half of the Peach Bowl be garbage time.

Playing 6 teams with non winning records helps.

wake was the best (24th) pass offense they faced all year

When Clemson played WF they were without their two top receivers, who were All-ACC type guys

Wofford averaged 107.5 yards a game passing and 8.54 yards pre attempt.

Vs Clemson they had 117 yards passing and went 10-4-1 and 1 td, averaged pre attempt 11.7.

Wofford would be on the ncaa stats for passing just ahead of Navy at rank 128.

Wofford is not a passing team.

To be fair, their dbs were making some good plays on the ball against OSU and were generally in good position. Some of OSU's guys just played out of their mind the first half and were making ridiculous catches. Their stats are certainly inflated because of their competition but I think they will certainly be a challenge and may be the overall best team we have played this year.

I was at the Clemson-Wofford game. We were on a bye week, and I'm only 45 minutes away. It was 42-0 at halftime, not much of a contest. I'd imagine most of Clemson's schedule, before the playoff, was pretty similar.

I mean they did hold most opponents to WAY less yards than their average.

Charlotte (7-6) - 84th - 211 ypg - 63

Now you have me concerned.

You realize we beat UVA by 40+ right? Last year South Carolina had 500 yards passing against us and we ended up beating Bama 44-16. Y'all can look at ur stats all day long but y'all haven't faced a team like us.
