Bingo. It’s so strange how triggered many of the posters are when they hear “national media” –they instantly go off the rails into a paranoid fugue state.
The article only said that it was the most interesting game on that day, and then it simply caught readers up on why the end of the game transpired the way that it did. That’s neither positive nor negative, though clearly Bob the Marlin comes across as the instigator and as a poor sport.

That’s true, Alabama doesn’t live in my head and I’ve never been interested in their basketball program. I just know it was a better job than any other he had up to that point. After looking up when he was an assistant there I found he actually started as an assistant there 4 years after Sanderson left Alabama. Not really sure why he is relevant?

Not even close. The people I know who lived in both, usually Moo State grads, who weren’t full blown rednecks say they would choose to live in Lafayette over Starkvegas in a heartbeat. Most of the rednecks think both places are too urban.

I did indeed graduate from LSU with a ChemE degree in ‘72 and Rice with an MBA in ‘78.

Actually I’ve travelled a bit for work and occasionally for pleasure. I’m was just giving you the feedback I’ve gotten about Starkville from the guys I know hwo’ve been there. I’ve never had a business reason to go and can’t imagine going for pleasure unless it’s to go to a Tigers game. BTW, I appreciate the child comment, there gramps, not often a 56 year old gets that. At any rate, we definately got off on the wrong foot. I have connections at both schools and tend to leap to the defense of whichever is being abused, your post rubbed me the wrong way and I may have overreacted a bit.
