Why does this always have to be JJ vs JL? Lee had his moments last year. If he can handle the mental part of the game he can be a very good college QB.

Thats the worst part of the Alabama game. 21 players played good enough to win that game. Lee was the only one who did not. He let his teammates down that Saturday

stop the band... wow a fuking freshman came up on the short side...

how about CM dropping that TD pass???? did he let JL down?

some of you people should really think things through before you type.

Think before I type? Tell me where I was wrong. Should CM have caught that ball? Hell yea. His arse should have gotten yanked from the game after that. But overall, everyone on the team except Lee played well enough to win that game. If you disagree, you weren't watching the same game as me. The D continued to get the ball back to the offense, and Lee threw 4 picks. He let his teammates down. Period. End of story.

I know after last year he is going to have to be twice as good in practice as the other QB's to see the playing field..

Do you know what the score and situation of that game was with about 7 mins to go?

I'll wait.

Jarret Lee's stats

VS

Matthew Stafford's stats

Obviously compare the first year stats, JL wins in every stat, including interceptions, but only by 3

Just adding perspective, and adding this for arguments sake

Twice as good as Jefferson, maybe, but he's the only one. Again, I don't think it will happen, but I don't know. But I am almost positive that we will need Jarrett Lee to win us games next year.

JL since season ended, and JL has no and never had any intentions of leaving LSU

I don't know anyone connected with the football program and I have zero inside information of any kind about the coaches, players, etc. But even I couldda told you Lee wasn't transferring. I shoulda laid some bets down, I'd have made some coin on it. Anyone who paid attention to the Troy game should know the kid won't quit. I don't know if he'll be the starting QB next season, and for my part, I don't care who is so long as we get better play from the position in 2009. But if Lee sits next season, it'll be because he was beat out, not because he quit or transferred or ran away or whatever.

The lack of film study comments are probably dead on. This is the exact same problem Rohan Davey had.

That has nothing to do with the fact that when in position to make a big play for his teammates, he made a big play for Bama instead. There is no arguing that fact.

Why? You really dont like what you have seen from JJ more than JL?

Neither will improve enough to win the West unless our defense returns. Arkansas proved that.

very true, but hey thats football... not the first itme its happend by a qb and wont be the last.

FWIW, we were down by 7 to bama, JL converted 3 3rd and longs in route to a game tying TD.

Just saying the dude can play, its up to him whether or not he improves enough to win the job.

Last I heard J Lee is a Tiger. I can’t believe “fans” that would think, much less write, that he is no good. Because of circumstances beyond his control he was moved into the starting QB position before scheduled. Did he have the kind of year he wanted? Of course, not. Give the young man a break. He is not running off looking for another school to play for. He is still a Tiger and fighting thorough a tough year. I am glad we have him as a backup, starter or whatever.

We need 2 QB's regardless of who the 2 are. With JJ tending to take off like he does, the odds of him staying 100% healthy the whole yr aren't very good. He may get bigger & stronger but every time he tucks & runs, the chance is there that the #2 QB mite have to finish the game. And as great as Shep mite turn out to be, putting the team on the shoulders of a true freshman is asking for problems eventually.

Ignore the haters JL

I seriously don't understand why someone who claims to be an LSU fan would be that negative about the guy's future. His problem was obviously mental, if he can get past it he can still be a very good option for us.
Not hating On Lee, but with the way Jordan finished the season, he deserves to be the starter until someone else beats him out.
