On the Devin White targeting call. He said it was " worst call he had ever seen" and Rece Davis got flustered and very protective when arguing back then eventually weaseled his way out and changed the topic.

Thought we were about to get a billboard mention
ETA: herbstreit said we’re running out of things to talk about let’s have a segment on this bs targeting call... it was almost happening!

I thought so too but the program is only half way over.

Saw that. He called it the worst call he has ever seen in his life. Not a good look for the SEC refs.

Rece took the Moscona route with the "by the letter of the law" argument. Both failed to address the "forcible" word in the wording of the rule.

The media doesn’t want to see a star player from either team be held out in a game like this. Especially when they know it was coordinated.

Rece made himself look like a arse. I might be crazy in saying this but the media nationally seems be all pushing how crazy the call was. The SEC office might actually bend under the pressure. It certainly isn't looking good for them. I am sure they expected this reaction from LSU but I don't think they counted on the national media being so vocal.

I’ve always liked Herbie

Davis did the same thing on Packer's Sirius XM show. Typical Gump grad.

They won't. I want it to happen, but it won't.

Rece said contact was made with the crown of the helmet and he is dead wrong and got pissy when Herby called him on it.

Rece is a University of Alabama graduate. Tribalism triumphed.

Still doesn’t mean we shouldn’t maximize pressure possible and put them in a bad spotlight

Yeah I liked watching him squirm his way out. Herbie made him look bad until Davis finally changed the subject. Was hoping it would become an open debate.

Rece has to use a squatty potty to poo
