McElroy is a Gump bitch. frick him. He'll carry water for Bama everyday of the week. He knows damn well he got the Bama boost to help him get over the Tigers when he threw his damn interception to PP7.

exactly.

while the damage to us will be done in the short term, it will be a good move for the game and the kids who fall victim to just giving good effort.

I think he's also tired of Bama getting the benefit of the doubt before, during, and after key games.

The Alabama bias is beyond obvious now, they are not even trying to hide it any more. This why they LSU should leave the SEC or they need to move the SEC office over to Nashville where the Vandy graduates really do not care about football.

the implication is bama is part and parcel with the SEC office.
Officially they are not, but you have these fanboys in high position that can affect the outcomes of all SEC schools and they are Bama grads, fans or wanna be's.

It’s great to see this story getting national attention. Hoping he drills it home at GameDay. We won’t get White’s suspension lifted, but this could be the catalyst for the obvious need for change in this rule that we will see reflected next year. Whether that’s changing the wording, different levels of penalties like running into/roughing the kicker, or getting rid of the next game suspension...whatever the case, I think the more attention this gets the more likely we see some positive change.

It will become the Devon White Rule.

i agree completely. for folks saying he hates LSU, the guy put us on a pedastal 2011, 2013, and 2015...and LSU didnt come through.

He was really down on LSU between ‘07 and ‘10 but that was after he broke the Les to Michigan story and Les basically called him a liar on national TV. We now know that Les absolutely was going to Michigan until that happened. Anyway, that was over 10 years ago at this point and Les is no longer here. I think the dude trys hard to be objective and that has cost him with his own fan base. The reason he lives in Tennessee is because people in Ohio wouldn’t leave him and his family only any time he had to say something negative about the Buckeyes.

McElroy backpedals and says he immediately thought targeting and said as much during the game. Now sees that it wasn't as bad as it appeared and wished there was an appeals process.

That's not what McElroy said on Finebaum

Right. On that show with Spears, they both were adamant that it was the "right call". They both stated that they'd like to see a rule change, but both agreed with the call based on the current rule.

Herby also pointed out you have a process there to overturn the ruling on the field and Birmingham blew it.

No. Birmingham rendered the decision they wanted. It was NO mistake.

He's one of the only college football guys left that I feel like actually speaks his mind and thoughts and doesn't read off of a script. I've started watching ESPN again after a pretty long break (no reason, just kind of fell out of the habit of watching the daily shows) and most of the guys I liked are gone and the ones that have replaced them just feel like they're reading artificial talking points and not having an organic discussion.

Was McElroy the QB on the PP missed interception call?

My guess is the change in targetting is coming on November 3rd!

When an Alabama player hits us with an obvious targeting call - the replay official will decide it wasn't really targeting as it wasn't the Bama players intent!

McElroy pisses me off.... He has a whole segment on Thinking Out Load where he says people who say its not targeting are stupid, crazy, etc. BUT when ESPN daddy Herb starts challenging him he switches script faster than Hillary Clinton.

He doesn’t have much chest. Probably why Drake Nevis, Kelvin Sheppard, and Tyrann Mathieu whooped his arse in 2010.

Remember when Les pecker slapped him during media days?
