As ridiculous as it is...LSU staff/Admin. would be wise to remain quiet and not try to defend every stupid report that comes out.

I know, it doesn't seem smart to publicly challenge ESPN. We better be VERY in the clear, if he's gonna tweet that. Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool he's out there standing up for LSU, but it's pretty ballsy. Would Jeremy Foley or Pat Haden come out that publicly?

ESPN is nothing but a 24 hr. ESPN infomercial. Any hint of interest on my part has been long gone except for games broadcast on the network.

I agree with tigercorp. Other than a momentary catharsis for telling them off, nothing good can come from poking espn with a stick.

I agree with this. In fact, it's also a cross promotion tool for ABC. I was unfortunately watching ESPN News the other day and they brought on a guy from Dancing With The Stars to talk about how he'd like the goalie from the women's soccer team to be a contestant. I mean, it was so freaking over the top and in your face...lesson learned once again.

And, I think LSU knows it is in the clear and has no problem hammering away at ESPN for that nonsensical garbage. I think it's all about ESPN getting some hype in any way possible for the season opener vs Oregon.

ESPNABC is a monopoly over sports now. Someone needs to take them on.

this count Kelly Naqi has a FB account according to ESPN, we should all message her what we think about her article. IF LSU was worried, do you think they'd supply her with the videos she deems as worthless? what a count bitch.

I remember watching pti and the show before it and sportscenter a couple years ago. Now I can't stand to watch anything on there.

my biggest problem with ESPN is that is signs contracts with all these schools and what not so they are basically business partners with them. Yet they're also publishing stories on and making money off of their "partners". Just seems like they have their hands in so many areas

Maybe if we got some lame arse DJ to make a video using press conference clips of the players it would be "worth it."

I have to disagree. other than telling them off, it reaffirms confidence among fans that we did nothing wrong. this was definitely needed.

ESPN should be investigated by Congress, since they're not busy right now.

LSU had to supply them, due to the Freedom of Information Act and being a public university.

How about a defamation lawsuit? Accusatory media implications against one of its business partners...over something, we clearly have not been accused of. (yet)

We could rename it the LSU Network.
