#LSU Baseball Injury Update:

Coach Mainieri tells me that Cole Henry “probably will again be out this weekend.”

Jaden Hill is “making progress but not ready yet.”

Position players are all ok and ready to go.

There goes “it’s just precautionary” or “Mainieri always gives his freshman pitchers a rest”

Baseball: Bad news
Basketball: Bad news
Football: Killing it!

I’m still happy as hell right now.

He told T-bob this morning that they had him get an MRI (which came back clean) so he, and im paraphrasing, "wouldnt keep freaking out" or something like that.

So it very clearly wasnt just a rest.

At least our position guys are all good now. No telling how far we can go if we get most of our pitching staff back.

I remember when Nolan Ryan was pitching for the Astros he would say he couldn't raise his right arm above his shoulder the day after he pitched.

Yet he rarely missed a start.

No. This can still absolutely be precautionary.

Everyone was aware before last weekend that this wasn't that.

But keep tilting at your windmills.

LSU baseball seems to create a lot of those types....

Also, I see that this is coming from Dandy Don.

He may be right, but I'm going to wait for one of the three beat writers to address this.

Marceaux was held out for several weeks with nothing structurally wrong with his arm and seems to be doing fine now. It's definitely frustrating given the reports from last week, but missing two starts doesn't mean it still can't be precautionary. Given how these "injuries" are typically handled, Mainieri doesn't seem to even entertain playing guys with any sort of soreness at all.

Any update lately on Storz since he started throwing off the mound back on April 2?
