Kind of sounds like he's bashing the Raiders rather than LSU.

Not coincidentally, when Rolando McClain came out of Alabama--perceived to be the most structured, militaristic BCS program in America--and went to those same Oakland Raiders, he started acting like a lazy, entitled, arrogant POS.

And when Early Doucet went to the Arizona Cardinals--a team with veteran, professional receivers and strong, stable leadership at the top--he put his head down, worked hard, and blossomed.

But the media never gets to that point...

Did some of y'all just read the subject and get pissy? He said they need a more structured NFL team. Didn't take a shot at LSU

I read it and it could easily be taken either way, based on the OP's description of his comments.

Um, no it can't. JaMarcus has to take the majority of the blame. Even Oakland has guys that work hard and play well.

Never liked Heath Evans. Annoying as hell how he prances around with his "inside" knowledge.

people dont watch film. jamarcus was always the same qb. he can throw it deep with accuracy and touch. but he couldnt throw the ball short.

he couldn't throw a slant route accurately in college, and his swing passes to the flats or rbs were horrible. he also struggled throwing from undercenter.

and they ran a west coast offense with him. lane kiffins west coast offense. makes no sense.

+1

There are way too many cases of good players going to Oakland and dropping off the map. They don't hold individuals accountable like other great organizations do.

As for Jamarcus, the guy has all the talent in the world but didn't have the drive to push himself to meet or exceed his potential.

Both are to blame for his well documented dive bombing.

Early Doucet on the other hand has outplayed his drafts staus a bit and is a solid player for the cardinals

Doucet's senior season injuries dropped his draft status dramatically. Without injuries, his stats and likely his draft status would have been first round worthy.

The interesting thing about JaMarcus...

He had a decent 2nd year for a team that was horrible. QB rating 77, 13 tds to 8 ints. Now this was with a bad oline, backup wrs as starters, a coach fired and 3 different play callers used.

The next year the coach didnt believe in JaMarcus. JaMarcus then proceeded to not give a f*ck. And had the worst season ever and got himself out of the league.

JaMarcus is to blame, cause he shouldnt have tanked it like that. But there were other issues.

The play by play guy for the Raiders wished JaMarcus had Hue Jackson as his coach. Said Jackson would know how to communicate with JaMarcus and use him properly....now Hue is fired...but I thought it was noteworthy to say.

This. I saw the segment too. He wasn't bashing LSU. He was basically saying that LSU produces talented players so talent wasn't the problem with Jamarcus. He was saying the Raiders lack structure and that Jamarcus would have greatly benefited from playing for a coach like Belichick or Coughlin in a more disciplined environment. In fact, he said there's no doubt in his mind Jamarcus would have been a success if he played for one if those coaches.

It's all about being in the right system. Dorsey is playing out of position in the 3-4. He is best suited for a 3 tech in the 4-3. Other LSU players have been solid players in the league. Not many star players but they have been solid. Peterson and Bowe are all pro players.

These NFL teams draft poorly then play guys in strange positions, ie Dorsey.

If anything it says they are over performing at LSU due to being in a great system/position.
